It was a brilliant Idea, don't put yourself down. It just needed a few less balloons so the resin could get between and around them. The little dog is so cute🖤. The big dog came out beautifully, the glitter is amazing, his little nose is sweet. xx

When you said you were putting balloons in the balloon dog, I thought what a cute idea. And then, well darn. I have the tiny balloon dog and have put birthday cake sprinkles in him. The little mold was made the same way, kind of tricky to use. Everything else turned turned out great. Bonus, you got your order done. 😍

He’s very cute and I really like the idea from the first one maybe if you just use less balloons, it would work and by the way you can take things back to Walmart without a receipt. If you paid with a card let them know what card you used they can actually look up your purchase now, just in case you wanted to know I really love the keychains. I say still try the balloon doggie with the balloons like when you take them out of the package. I think with the glue in it the balloons would stay put as some resin will seep into the open end and weight it. Worth a try I say. I have the tiny mold of this and have been making him in traditional balloon colors for myself. My grandkids love playing with them which is what I’d hoped for.

Plan A reminds me of my M&M gnome. He was very soft and squeezey for about 30 hrs, then he firmed right up.

I was holding my breath while you were putting them in because you were pushing them down and I was afraid that they were gonna pop. Try doing the end again with less balloons and I’m sure it to work the next time, it definitely would’ve been cute❤❤

Thank you. I am still between the wanting to start making art stage, and the procrastination stage. I didn’t know the glue trick, but will remember your tip/advice. Sorry about your first balloon doggy. I was concerned about how tightly you were packing in the balloons. When you were talking about a clip to hold it closed, my mind kept screaming “chip clip” (the variety of different clips you can find to hold closed different food items that come in bags).

I love that glitter. I saw someone do the balloon dog. I think it was Resin Nut. She just tinted clear resin and it looked like a real balloon.

Hi Michelle, I got the same mold - about 8 cm - and yes the nose it's ok that's the knotted end of the long balloon :) . And maybe it would be easier not to fill up the mold too much and stuff the balloons. I filled my mold with pearls and to avoid to much bubbles between them, I poured them with clear resin before stacking them in the mold - maybe this helps with your balloons :) Thanks for sharing your experiences with us.

At the risk of repeating others (because I didn’t read the other 150 comments) but maybe use confetti that is ballon shaped. I believe Walmart carries it where the birthday supplies are located. But maybe this idea with the sand filled balloons worked perfectly…. I will continue watching to see the end result 😊

Love the glitter balloon dog but it's a shame the balloon one didn't Loving all the rest of the extras & the extra little dog, Julie Cutts from Pouring Your Heart Out did a Caterpillar filled with different sizes & Colours of Pom Poms . I wonder how the balloon dog would look with those in there
They all turned out really cool looking! As for the first balloon dog, why not UV or regular resin glue his head back on and for the extra balloons, fill them in resin for little embeds or just shapes ( like olives) or coat them in resin to make hollow shapes?
There was not enough resin around the balloons to save this one. And balloons were poking out all over the sides 😁
I made a video recently where I used old gloves in resin to create some interesting textures. You could probably do the same with the balloons.

I have a seal mold I put bouncy balls in 😂. Turned out fantastic. I named it my balls o' seal 😂.
Plan A was a good plan; the execution, not so much 😂. Plan B made him look very pretty and sparkly. The little doggo is cute too.
