I am 73 years old and went through the same thing, in the end I returned right back to where I started and I regret NONE of it. You will never regret that summer in Wyoming. You needed to get that wanderlust out of your system BEFORE you sand down any permanent roots. Just remember that you are not a tree, you can pack up and move as many times as you want to. I have watched your videos for a long time and have become quite attached to you. I am the one that suggested that you make a video of you eating a bowl of cheerios. I would watch it. Art from Ohio
Jake, you have been missed. Glad to see you back with a fresh, positive outlook on life, and your future. Keep moving forward with your dreams, good things will happen. You are a good man. God Bless.
Glad you'reback home, Buddy! IF I had a loafering jag inside me the Army wore that out. I went to work RIGHT after school on a road job pulling a sheepsfoot with a IH 2806 yellow. Then Sammy hollered and I went straight to KANSAS (FT. Riley) straight off and then halfway around the world to the tropics and maliaria and back to Virginia and here. I never wanted to leave here but ended up back here in 02 to make child support payments after a 23 year marriage blew up. Burned diesel for Sammy and here as THIS is what I always wanted to do and did for 50 years. I remarried in 04 and have been REALLY happy hitched until my health quit and I'm here at home, stringing beans and mowing grass with a battery zero turn. NOW Maybe I can keep track of YOU and see you're still doing yourJohn Duffey immatations! I live maybe 1/2 mile from where I was raised so we both CAN go home again, no matter what the old saying says. I've ALWAYS got your back, pal. 24/7/365. I'm 74 now and that's as good as I can do! BLESS you and the folks. LIVE IT, Jake! We all have to learn stuff. It's all good if we want it to be!
We are sure glad you are back here! Missed your videos, and look forward to more. Being from New England myself, I know why you did what you did, but it’s hard to get this area out of your heart! It’s home, and it’s what we are used to. As much as I complain about living here, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Glad you are back!
Yep, sometimes you just got to experience life to see how good you really do have it. Later in life, you will be so glad you did what you did.... I did, with no regrets. Definitely make future trips to where ever you wish in the future. It the best thing a person can do!
Well done you! Great story Jake, and more folks should be able to do what you succeeded in doing,..'tis good for the soul ( so I've heard.) I am a Canadian and have visited New Hampshire a few times and if I could, I too would live there. I wish you great success and happiness. I am looking forward now, to more interesting videos on your project. You are a multi talented man Sir, I wish you all the best of good wishes.
Jake keep doing what makes u happy. Glad to hear u went to Wyoming but found your base ground is in new England. Hang in there my young friend. U and the good lord will find your way
It's good to hear from you! I look forward to seeing your Frazer. I had one a few years ago. It was a beast, and the smoothest 2 stroke I've ever had my hands on.
Good to see you back, and hear you're doing good! I know it took me going to college, not finding a job and moving back into my parents house (which they moved over 2 hours away while I was gone, so new house and area), job hopping in Finance and then through a couple different museum jobs (which is what I went to college for, I'm a historian) to finally find the one that fits me and feels right for now. I've done more in the last 6 years between college and job hopping than I ever would have thought. So while its a different circumstance, I understand what you're saying about that experience realigning you. Hope things keep getting better for you!
Hello Jake , Man Iam sure glad your back, I understand why you went out West, I always wanted to when I was your age but never had the Guts and found the love of my life and glad I did cause I have two kids and 3 grandsons and would not change a thing, so hold on Jake, your back for a reason, thanks for the update and looking forward to your next video
Of course you realized in New England there are way more fools per square mile, like me, that love the old infernal combustion rusty stuff and need to hire someone to repair or restore our follies. Glad you are back, but you have to move closer to me than southern NH! Tell the truth, cowboy boots were too hard on your feet! Good luck, and thanks for sharing!
Good to hear from you. Yup some times you have to move away to work out what you had at home was worth staying for. I did it when I was 20 left the farm moved to Sydney to have a corporate career, lasted 7 years then came back to the farm.
Welcome home Jake. Something must end before a new adventure begins. From an old picker to a young one, You do the trade good. I will keep an eye open for property on the other side of the river. Glad you are back with a clear mind.
Jake , dont be in a rush. The prices are starting to come down in southern Vt. and Nh. and should come down more in a couple of months. Be patient and get the right place for the right price.
Well I’m glad to see you back Jake! Hey, you never know what lies around the bend unless to go look for yourself sir! I for one am very proud of you , it takes a lot for someone to pack up and move across the country but ultimately home is where your heart is, can’t wait to see your bright future brought to us via the magic of UA-cam lol
I understand sir. I have been many different places. I always came back home to Texas. I'm glad you found where you belong, your happy place. Come on down to Texas anytime. We would be honored to have you.
Glad to see you again! I for one miss the video’s. Welcome back sir! Could you and your friend play wagon wheel ? 🤗Also, I can relate to what you’re saying. Been there!!!
A man gotta do what a man gotta do. At least you got it done. You have never really had a vacation since you were 16 have you ? I honestly worried about you while you were gone, glad you're back all in one piece.
Jake I just discovered your youtube channel and I have been collecting old Bolens tractors for many years and need to thin the herd. If your interested we can talk. Mostly parts tractors but very cheap or I'll have to scrap them.
Glad you made your way too and from where you want to be, Jake. I was wondering what you thought of the Wyoming music scene? Good luck on the path forward.
remember when you do move dont not take work because its not what you want to work on money is good when fixing them cheap tractors go find yourself and be you gay straight what ever it is you can only make yourself happy BE SAFE
