Most recipes call for a mixture of ground veal and ground pork, which is the way my Danish wife makes them. Also, we add nutmeg. Tip: it’s easier to shape the meatballs if you refrigerate the meat mixture for about a half an hour.

I just made these & they were delicious! I used 2 TBSP of bacon fat to fry in nstead of butter/oil. OMGawd, YUM! 😋 Thank You for the recipe.
Yum .. Thats pretty much how I was taught.. except using cornstarch instead of flour. I like the addition of Allspice, now I am hungry. :) Tusind Tak!
