    Thanks so much for sharing this, Bing. I see exactly what you mean about playing this one all night long. Your version has a nice lilting movement to it, just like a rolling river.

    I observed that you brace your pinky & index fingers against the side of the fret board; and much of your picking/strumming action occurs with movements from your thumb and index finger. Your wrist doesnt move one bit and your arm/hand move only slightly. Do you brace against the fret board as a kind of guide to make your hand movements smaller, therefor faster?

      Hi, Jon. I anchor to keep a good frame of reference when strumming, flatpicking and fretting. My wrist does move a little bit, but it's more of a "full arm" motion that doesn't put stress on any one part of the arm. It doesn't really make me faster, but it does keep me accurate more so than free-floating strums and fretting.

    What if your thumb is a stub? :-)

      You can use the side of your thumb, or a forefinger. Whatever works best for you. : )
