In this Santo Domingo airport arrival we fly in from Martinique on Sky High airways. This is the largest airport in Dominican Republic called Las Américas International airport. We arrived at 10PM into Santo Domingo and the drive to the hotel took about 40 minutes.

Never exchange money at SDQ airport and never take a taxi cab at all while in the city. If you want to exchange money in Santo Domingo, you’ll be better off going to any Banreservas branch (there’s one right outside of the airport). If you want transportation from SDQ airport to your hotel in the city, you’ll be better off requesting it from the Uber app (price is typically between USD $20-25 as of April 2024). Uber prices in Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, and Santiago can range between US $3-10 depending on distance, but average is $5, which is not that bad. Hope this helps!

The airport exudes a modern aesthetic, reminiscent of many airports in the USA. Notably, there have been noticeable advancements in its facilities. Boasting ample space, this airport is reputed for its duty-free shopping options and complimentary Wi-Fi, a feature my friends have attested I just seen the huge development, it's a nice Airport and to bear the name of the Americas must be worthy of its name, look about the currency exchange next time try different exchange kiosk, I bet you'll find better offer believe me, I've tried this before, also your hotel suite was another level, frankly I was waiting for more the video was short Lol

3:33 yes currency exchange is terrible in SDQ as in most airports. However, most services at the airport do take US dollars or Euros on a more favorable rate. I would recommend taking a taxi to your hotel and exchanging your money at any of the local banks. Also, most services at the Airport or elsewhere in the country can be bought with most international Visa or Mastercards.
