- Hello everyone! In this video, I’ll give you a quick recap of everything you need to know before The Center launches for Ark: Survival Ascended. I provide early game tips and a beginners guide to the center.

The Center Overview
The Center, Ark’s first DLC, offers a diverse creature lineup similar to The Island. Its most notable feature is the colossal floating island to the west, alongside numerous islands with jungles, tropical shorelines, mountains, and ancient ruins.
Unique Biomes:
Lava Biome: Dangerous, with gigas and other predators, ideal for end-game resources.
Enormous Ocean: Varying depths, from shallow clear waters to dark, bottomless areas.
Underwater Domes: Perfect for waterproof bases, offering a chance to build an underwater kingdom.
Caves
The Center features 9 unique, expansive caves, including:
Jungle Cave
Northern Ice Cave
South Ice Cave
Lava Oasis Cave
Lava Cave
South Eastern Trench Cave
The Center Cave
Cliffside Cavern
Massive Underground Ecosystem: Inspired by "Journey to the Center of the Earth," with a hidden biome and miniature sun.
Other Notable Features
Skull Island: Rich in metal, crystal, and obsidian.
Boss Arena: Visible from the main map with a day-night cycle.
Resource Caves: Abundant with metal and crystal, often featuring ruins.

My daughter got me into ark toward the end of it all and I'm so thankful for videos like this one as it's nice to not be a complete newb about literally everything on some of the maps we haven't spent time on...thanks for this jus knowing a safe starting point alone is a huge help...much appreciated
I am glad I could help. Yeah the center was definitely a forgotten map in ASE. I am trying to get my daughter into ark but she’s scared of the raptors. I may have to wait a few years 😂
@ChaosBearGaming we alllllllll worry bout them sneaky raptors lol...when I hear that attack noise I'm looking for a hogh place or running for my mount lol...there's a mod with a narco rifle you could get for her...about 3 shots and that poor raptor will either die or fall asleep...I use it anytime I'm gonna be off a mount in the wild for a prolonged period of time....and a whole crew of raptors of my own too sometimes depending on the situation lol
@@davidperkins5859 shes only 4 and thinks all dinosaurs are from land before time…. 😅 I am trying to reach her that difference between carnivores and herbivores, she loves the raptors from a far. But not when they catch me with no bolas and shred me to pieces 😂😂 I’ll give her a bit more time to understand life and ark balance then I’ll definitely check out some mods like that. Thanks for letting me know about that.

Wow that is an insane amount of metal near a staring spawn, that’s crazy, thanks for that.
Yeah of course. Yeah you can easily get 100s of metal before leaving the starting area. Just build a few forges and put every stack you can in the forge. Then when you leave or go look for a new base location this will still be cooking and you can always come back for it later. At least in single player.
Thanks for the video! I really hope they fix the deep water on this map, would be a shame if it still had that shallow border.. Im looking forward to building inside the bubble again!
Yeah I am looking forward to the update as well. The water beneath that bridge and all around the volcanic island is so barren and just nothing there. I am excited to see what those bubbles look too.
I expect this map to get its own boss when it comes to asa
I don’t want to get my hopes up, but I do as well. I would like to see a water boss and then a regular boss.
Is it gonna be the same size or bigger ive heard its gonna double
I believe when flying from one side of the map to the other side in ASE it was larger than the island, but it didn’t seem that way cause of the ocean.
Also the center has a lot of vertically going forward it. So I expect with all the caves, the levels, the underground area, the underwater bubbles, etc that it will be bigger than the island and most likely way bigger than before.
The center was my least played map on ASE but I am really looking forward to this because it has so much potential.
Is this the new The Center?
The gameplay shown is from the center on ASE, not from ASA. But the spawn points for the caves should be the same as they have been on the island and scorched earth. Also most of the resources should be in similar areas. However we we should expect some areas to get fully re worked and the resources may be more difficult to see As ASA has way more details and foliage.
Whats is the name of the artifact
Which artifact are you looking for? The center has 11 artifacts in total.
The one you refer to the journey of the center of the earth cave, you said there is and artifact, i was going to say do you see viable to do a pvp base or is so massive?
@@Bugatti_Senpai I think it’s probably too big. I only play single player though, so I would take my world with a grain of salt.
Most caves on this map in ASE based on what I was reading take 3x damage. However it says that damage does not apply when in that underground area.
I do know that the spot I show at 7:46, the long hallway with the metal and crystal and the ruins at the end is a dead end. And the only entrance to that is a crouch only hole.
Now of course they could change that, but based on all the caves the center had previously and little books and crannies, I expect there will be lots of great spots
