I have this favorite t-shirt 👕. It has long sleeves and it has all over whale 🐳 print. I made this t-shirt 👕 in 1993. It is upsetting my very favorite t-shirt 👕 is showing it's age atrociously😭. I wish it could live forever🥺. I bought this fabric at the fabric store a mile from my home. It was sold in the children's department. I cleaned them out😊. I also made shorts and an unitard😊. Then I saw your whale 🐳 applique 😊. I am thinking 🤔 I should buy white crochet threads by the spools and several shades of turquoise to navy embroidery threads. I would knit or crochet embroidery threads 😊. Now all I need is make matching overalls😊. Thank you for your tutorial 😊. See you in your next video 📹. Then again I might add orca appliques😊.
This whole blanket is so adorable. I’m kicking myself for not following along this year. So I decided even though I’m a year behind, I’m gonna crochet this masterpiece! It’s to amazing not to crochet it. ❤️❤️❤️
D Salazar~ Good for you. I was wondering how many talented crocheters are accomplishing this one. I'm just getting back into crocheting so it's going to be Jayda's cute sweater ornaments and African flower to begin with. :)
You are a wonderful teacher, thank you for making this tutorial. I could follow along with you. I made three to go on my Grandson Mason Ocean blanket, he is 3.
Thank you for this tutorial! I tweaked your pattern a bit and made it into a narwhal! I didn't add the white stripe underneath and I added a tusk to the nose/forehead region.
Love this cal. I am making a Scottish version with a castle in the pine tree orchard, so I've got the Scottish fishing industry, it's agricultural and it's woodland
Oh my goodness Jada you are amazing! I've had so much fun doing this calendar blanket! I don't know how you're going to top this for next year's blanket!
Oh jayda you have surpassed yourself , how cute is he , I can't wait to make one or maybe a few 😊Amanda xx🐳....I made 3 jayda 🐳🐳🐳I did one on a smaller hook for the baby and the top one I embroidered a spout of water , love them thank you , can't believe that's the last appliqué 😪xx
Oh Jayda! It’s just the little applique I’ve been waiting for! I can’t wait to stitch one up to go along with my Ocean Lovers Pillow covers for our RV. I’m using the little sailboat, lighthouse and whale! Every time we are camping at our favourite spot by the big waves I will think of you and how grateful I am for your clever handiwork and tutorials. Please, oh please could you tell me what the piece of Canadiana Folk music is playing in the intro? It gets me up doing a jig around my kitchen every time I hear it!
Hi Pamela! We're so happy to hear that :) The music we're using is actually something that UA-cam offers to creators to use, Mr. InStitches found them, I'm not sure what their names are. I agree, I get up and dance every time I hear it!
Thank you so much, Jayda! Your tutorials are GREAT! I have just picked up crocheting again after years absences. How do you hold your yarn? It looks less cumbersome than over and under fingers. Would you show us slowly how to adapt? I would appreciate this tip. Thanks Ruth
Hi Ruth, I am self taught, so the way I hope my yarn just sort of "happened" lol! I always recommend to people to just start working on stitches and don't concern themselves with the yarn holding ... it will just work itself out in a way that naturally works best for them :)
Oh so cute! Love these whales, a great idea! I was wondering what would go in that empty space. All I have do I sew on my horse and then I’m up to date! Had so much fun following these tutorials. Sad that’s its ending. But I’m sure there will be another! Thank you so much! 🙏😻🧶
hey! just wanted to ask if this pattern can be followed with crochet thread as well? i really want to make one with thread but this is the only pattern for a whale swatch that i could find
Hi, certainly! You will end up with a much smaller whale than what we have here, depending on the thread weight and hook size you use. You could hold several strands of thread together and use the same hook as me and get something roughly the same size.
I'm still so far behind (at houses) but I'm planning to catch up after Christmas. I don't know what I'm going to do with it yet. I have enjoyed doing it and hope I can find everything I need to finish it when I'm ready. Thanks, Jayda!
Thank you for zooming in and showing exactly where the stitches go. As a beginner, I appreciate it so much!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching 😊

Hi Barbara, we're so happy to know you enjoyed this project along with us!
Midwest Plains doesn't have a seaside but I did grow up around lakes. So I added 3 fishes instead of the adorable whales. Can't wait for the border. 🙆
Love it!
You and Mr Institches are really creative. Looking forward to next years blanket.
I love these whales. The blanket is beautiful.
Thank you so much for watching Trisha!
My kids will be so happy! They’ve been begging me to make fish for the blanket; I’m glad now that I waited.
Wonderful! :)

This project has been so much fun. I have fallen behind, though, but I'll catch up after Christmas. Thanks for another great project Jayda!
Hi Nancy, plenty of time to catch up ...the videos aren't going anywhere :) Enjoy the holidays!
Just finished this and add some filler to the whales to puff them out a bit. Came out cute!
Hi Brenda, what a cute idea! Thank you for sharing :)

Hi Jayda I.m Making This For My Husband For His Birthday I Know Hes Going To Love It Thanks Jayda God Bless. 😊
Hi Joanne, that's wonderful, I hope he loves it!
omg i love him, are we putting on our clouds that we made still?
Hi Linda, we're not adding anything extra to the sky, so if you want to add your clouds, go right ahead :)

I Hope Your Going To Have A Turtorial For A Blanket For 2020 Be Wonderful Thanks Again Jayda I Love All Your Turtorials. 😊
VERY Cute 🤩 thanks
Thank you Brigida :)
I made it and it is too big for my project. So sad, I love your whale! How would I go about making it smaller?
Hi Shannon, use a smaller hook and possibly a lighter weight yarn. But start with the smaller hook size (like a 4.00 or G/6)
@@JaydaInStitches Thank you! I was able to do it with a smaller hook and pulling things toghter as I went. Turned out great!
I think I might try and figure out how to add sea gulls to the picture?
Hi Jill, go for it! A seaside always has a few gulls hanging around ;)

My husband wants me to submit mine to the county fair.
