6 more months with just 2 new maps is unacceptable tbh. Yes it's cool to have new modes and unlockable items, but the fact is we'll be playing these modes and unlocking items on the same maps + only 2 for the best part of a year. That's unacceptable.
New maps IMO is the most important thing. People will enjoy the new modes for a little while until they ultimately get bored of playing them on the same maps over and over and over again.
1 new map if you only play ranked...6 maps total for an entire year of gameplay...
@@ChestoResto yhh exactly, unacceptable. The biggest studio under the Xbox umbrella, with the most $$$ behind it, and this is what they produce.
They released monthly content for halo 5 and realised how straining that was on the team. They should have learnt from that and made the necessary adjustments to provide content at least every 3 months.
They cant just pump out maps though because in the overall grand scheme modes and all the other shit are more important to the game being more complete. It had a rushed launch so we are mission a ton of content that should be in Halo so 343 are playing catch up rn. Once everything caught up then I am sure they will have more time to spend on maps.

You know, I wouldnt be as upset about a 6 month long season if I was able to progress after completing the pass. Come to think of it, I havent "leveled up" since January. Damn.
I'm really happy we got a roadmap but 2 maps just isn't enough to me, at least not for 6 months... I'll play it til I'm done with the pass 🤷 I feel like if they can't make maps they should just let the community make the maps. Would literally revive this game. But we have to wait a year for forge :(

it's great to get a roadmap and i'm happy they're sticking with giving us Forge ASAP, but I don' think they will be able to sustain another 6 month long season unless there's more they aren't showing us. I also noticed no mention of post game XP even though they said it would be coming this year, so that has me worried
Maybe the BR is coming with the release of Forge.
@@eodyn7 we're not even sure the mode certain affinity is working on is a BR. It's definitely possible, but it's more likely a rework of Warzone from H5.
While a BR could definitely help the game and would be a nice addition in the short term, I have a feeling it would have more negative effects in the long term than positive ones.
I mean all this is great but I hope after all this some campaign DLC gets in the next roadmap

A BETA….. in SEPTEMBER! The full forge should have been out at launch. How the fuc* can you be happy about this? It baffles me how everything can be on fire yet you go “this is fine”.
Look, I’m okay with a 6 month season…. As long as the 2 maps we’re getting aren’t the only maps released within season 2. There’s in total 10 maps, 12 of you count the 2 dropping in may. If 12 maps are expected to keep us entertained for an entire calendar year, than they’re going to lose so many players. The gameplay is pretty polished, content is lacking. How do they expect to keep their player base and draw in new players with the content this bad. I love halo, and I wanna see it thrive. Not just “survive”

I think those are all the maps. Looks like just 2 maps per season, which is a little low. Think it should be bumped up to at least 3 since seasons are 6 months.

The gameplay is so garbage especially for competitive you get put in garbage servers forced to play on high ping this game is litterally all ping dependent don’t understand why you sheep are praising the lackluster gameplay no wonder why this game is dead not even in Xbox’s top 15 games played

This is one of those games that'll be great in 5 years, and people will do the "How Halo Infinite turned it around" or Redemption videos, basically the NMS treatment. I don't think that adding stuff to games and delaying features to later dates is bad, its just don't expect me to buy a game outright if the "actual package" takes a year or two after launch to get going. I have the same policy with fighting games that I'm meh towards, usually the game starts really bad and a year or two later you can get the enhanced game with the dlcs for half the cost, same shit here.

Games should have the whole game attached when you buy them, not be a barebones piece of crap where the most polished thing in it is a microtransaction shop. Halo 5 launched better than Infinite, but even though it was a $60 game with the multiplayer system built around _loot_ _boxes_ it wasn't as greedy as Infinite is nor was it as content anemic as Infinite. How does 343 look at the shitty launch that 5 had and say, "let's do that again, but worse!" only to be upset that fans are pissed off about it? The only concrete thing Infinite has that's better than Halo 5 right now is the art style, but who cares because we can get that classic style back in MCC with actually completed games.
@@boogie1434 That's the gambit you run when you don't buy at launch, but the inverse is true as well. If a game is worth its price, and has done a good job fostering a community it'll have a base 5 or whatever years later, look at CS:Go, Siege, MCC, and there's a lot of Fighting games that are the same.
If it doesn't have a base post one year, it probably wasn't worth playing in the first place.

Halo Infinite didn't come out in November 15, 2021. Infinite was just delayed until holiday 2022.
I am happy we're getting a road map this time. Don't have to play the guessing game. Also, I hope it's true that game modes from rotational events will now stay in the game after the events are over. If that's true then this season might be a more manageable 6 months than last season. Finally, I am interested in what these narrative events are exactly.
I haven't watched you for a long time but I remember you always being very peppy and happy about Halo. I came back because I knew theres no way anyone would be happy with this roadmap. I hear how defeated you sound and I feel so bad. Its really hard being a Halo fan nowadays. I hope the upcoming drought is easy on you!
Everything in season two I’d be fine with and see as a step up if it were just 3 months for this season instead of 6. What’s going on to make them go back in what they said before?
What about the progression system, I didn’t see any mention of it. If there gonna do 6 months they should increase the battle pass by at least another 100. I finished the first battle pass and I felt like I got nothing from it. The new core looks cool but are we gonna have a lot of options to customize with. It just doesn’t seem like enough.
Forge's open beta is looking like a more community involved thing once it 'arrives'.
If they want to be making improvements constantly - then keeping it 'open beta' makes sense to me.
As for the rest of the season, it's not too bad. 6 months is the big pill we have to swallow - but at least there's more content this time round compared to season 1. (& new types of content too)
But as I suspected (as did a lot of people) - Halo Infinite really won't be picking up until Season 3.
One thing to note however is if Forge is staying in 'open beta' in season 3 - then this is a sign that 'we're getting it' *early* - since we'll also be getting it in late season 2.

Honestly I feel like if they just gave us like 3 more maps from older halos; guardian, last resort, and maybe high ground, and we’d be able to hang on a little longer. We’re lacking content. Give us some older legacy maps and we won’t complain 343. It’ll at least hold us a little longer until forge and all the other stuff
Primarily a comp/ranked player, 6 months is insane if the only new content we're getting on that side is some cosmetics and a single map, hoping some of the new gametypes make it into ranked like KOTH.
At the same time, I feel for the casual side. Co op not till August, Forge BETA in Sept?? The biggest fumbling of a bag I have ever seen from both 343 and Msoft.

I think it's too little, too late. Based on what was there on launch, I wanted more content in January. Now I need to wait until Season 3 for anything substantial. I might step back in later, but the way things are now, it's just pretty bad, and now I know I'm not missing much.
Always excited for new content! Earnable credits is awesome, kinda gives more of an incentive to keep playing, even if you don't need xp for anything, especially if there is something cool you want but don't want to spend money on it.

Season 1 had the campaign, of course, but we otherwise only had the recurring Tenrai event, and three other limited time events. I’m just excited Infinite will be a little more diverse with the new and returning modes being added!

It’s probably a safe bet to expect full-fledged campaigns on a semi-yearly basis (or maybe even every three… hard to tell with no info about it as of right now though). It’s cool that they’re including story beats to the seasons though. IDK man I just like Halo and even though things could absolutely be better, I still have fun with the game!

this is a step in the right direction but why isnt forge the number 1 priority above all other content? Forge and custom games will allow the community to create their OWN content so you know we dont have to settle for only 2 fucking maps an entire year after launch.

Wow..... I shouldn't be surprised but 6 months again? They're adding a lot of new modes which I am happy about, but idk about this. Some people are saying they expect more maps could be added and such... wouldnt that be in the roadmap? This is like the worst road map I have ever seen. Everything they said for Season 3 was a given for the most part. I am glad they made one finally, but man, hard to not be disappointed. Hopefully with Forge open beta they make a playlist full of community creations asap for Action Sack playlist or something. Well now I'm thinking Certain Affinity's new mode should drop this season because this is not shaping up well. Infection gonna be an event playlist in October -_-
