How can people who claim to be messengers of God perpetrate such ignominious hatred toward others?
"Hatred does not cease by hatred, but only by love, this is the eternal rule"
Some pious but sadistic people have much to learn about love and compassion.
    Peace and Happiness to all.
    Fabulous song, cheers for sharing.

I lived in Ireland during the 50'S and 60's when the country was under the heel of the catholic church , an institution which both fears and detests females. So the main problem we had with girls back then was that they were female. I'm not being glib ..... anybody who experienced the time and place would nod in agreement. I'm an Irish male but I've struggled to be proud of that. In fact .... I'm not.

A biting irony is that the Catholic Church could not function without the work and tacit leadership/administration of women. And then there's Marianism. How it doesn't explode from the hypocrisy is beyond me. (and while my real surname is Murphy, I'm a Protestant by heritage, so at least THAT Irish guilt isn't on me)

Can somebody figure out the timing of the strumming? It seems to be in 4/4 but with an oddly timed stress on the high strings that I cannot quite figure out...

I believe your opinion would've been quite different had you actually realized what she has done with the complicated rhythms, innovative tunings and unique chords throughout her career. Not only is she a great rhythm guitarist, she's one of the most unique ones out there.

Thus far, this is the clearest of all understanding of the ugliest rates for girls, women, and the babies they were forced to bear.

@AgyDeyn She is telling about the inspiration for her song. Catholic church laundries in Ireland. Girls sent there for any slight offense.
    using Google translate:
Ona opowiada o inspirację do swoich piosenek. Pralnie Kościół w Irlandii. Dziewczyny tam wysłany za niewielkie wykroczenia.

They didn't close till 96 in Ireland actually that's wrong that they closed in 72 but true about the graves and outrage many people simply did not know they existed and they were there right under their noses

@coach777777 Magdelene Asylums were not just Catholic, in fact they required no denomination other than sisterhood laws. All religions have a case to answer in the pain inflicted upon human life over thousands of years!!!

True, but not all Magdalene Laundries were religious. There were many state or government built ones.

It was a ruthless profit motive on the part of the church, couched in a supposed cause to "save the girls' souls." No one's soul has ever needed saving.
Google & read accounts of near-death experiences... the things that count the most in life are expressing love and helping other people. People who treat others badly are forced to face the pain they caused when their life flashes before them.

@nyalright Apologist BS. Religion claims the mantle of morality but has propagated the worst ideas, especially in the realms of freedom of conscience (burnings at stake, anyone) and sexuality.

    • @Chaziltasm

tfe423 hahahahahha are you fukcing kidding me? She's one of the best, she invented guitar tunings to create original sounds and plays some of the most complicated finger picking. Mate I don't know who you think you are but any respected critic and musician thinks she's a genius and a brilliant guitarist. Idiot.
