Sim voice actors speaking english is the weirdest thing I watched today
huh, is weird hearing them speak english but this is hilarious. great vid as always :)
I thought I lost my mind when I realized I'm understanding the whole conversation
RIP Gerri
Gerri Lawlor was the best Simlish actor. RIP.
ah, she was, without a doubt, one of the defining forces that made Sims 1 and Sims 2 amazing games -- nothing but respect. :D
@@LUCPIX Her and Stephen both.
R.I.P. Gerri
1:04 The black woman bit is actually hilarious when you frame them as playing typical white suburbanites. The Sims as a franchise ditches many social issues like racism (which as an escapism game is the right move), but it was still a very clever and witty. Stephen and Gerri are/were improv veterans, so it's very possible they were channeling gossip-riddled, white-flight suburban characters.
This sounds like an episode of Home Movies
Hmmm ... Hi! Gerri's mom here. Strange I've never heard this before. Where did you get this and are you certain that it is actually Gerri and Stephan on this recording? What is the recording's source? Though so much of her work is on youtube, I've never heard anything like this. Odd.
Hey, Maggie! It's originated from an old post by one of the game's original programmers (as mentioned in the description) and, at the time, it was described as an English improvisation of both Gerri and Stephen as they played the game! I'm 100% positive this is a true recording. Contact me on LIXCPU@GMAIL.COM and I can be more on depth about the source just as to avoid YB hiding this comment because it contains many links.
As a black guy, this is hilarous. Pure comedy
wtf did i just watch
While we can only listen to some simlish words, in reality are sims terrible people. The conversation was crazy and everything they said was really bad. I think they expressly made the joke about the black woman to make the conversation more uncomfortable than how it was already. Really fun.
this was cute until the casual racism lmao
As a black guy, this was hilarious
Imagine being butthurt over something that's not even racist. Wokeness is the cancer of today's society
@@AreteGYou don't speak for all Black people.
@@ma3nafsi496"Wokeness" doesn't exist.
...yikes. That black woman remark.
yeah it was a different time! so you should try to not take it personally and be negative :) cheers
@@kyoung25 no i will take it personally bc it sucks, thank you
Thats a shame! I hope when you realize being sour toward a dead woman who can't defend her past actions (even if you have no context on those actions) is a compete waste of your clearly very valuable time, you can them mature as a person.
Cheers 😊
@@kyoung25 oh shut up, stop telling people how to feel
@clairefire Thanks for completely ignoring what I said! It's clear you're not ready for real life.
