I can’t wait to finally find a school of these catfish and rail on them! I got my Automatic Fisherman rods and reels spooled with 10lb Trilene monofilament, got a box of catfish hooks, spoons, sinkers together, bought a new Marcum underwater camera, and have a crystal clear catfish lake down the road from me here in southern Wisconsin loaded with monster catfish. Between using a vexilar and underwater camera, I should be able to track some kitties down! Awesome video man, stay safe on the ice and good luck fishing 🎣!

I catch cats accidentally while walleye fishing all the time with no bait, they love anything that resembles baitfish. Although I think the bigger ones definitely like a big chunk of cut bait

Just think of how buff your upper bodies would be if you used manual auger! I used to put one kid on top then crank! We went for trout in idaho. Fun for groups of girls. They would ice skate while waiting for bites. Double fun.

Is your auger a strike master? How do you like it? I have a gen 1 Ion but im looking to upgrade. Whether its the newest gen, a strike master, or an Eskimo electric. From what ive seen, certain strike masters are cheaper, and cut just as much ice as an ion, and the Eskimo is A LOT cheaper, but cut 100 inches less than an Ion. Love the videos buddy! I didn't like it on thin ice, but it rips through the thick stuff. Haven't killed a battery yet.
