Climbing + drone video = SPECTACULAR!!! Now the paragliding once you get to the top is new (to me) but quite possibly the best combination of sports ever!
Never read the description then at 0:19 "I think I know that voice", 1:55 "I think I also know that van" and finally at 2:23 "Jesus he sold me a pair of climbing shoes gave me the occasional free brownie + climbing tips and I've never noticed he's famous!" Can't wait for the climbing center to be back open!
Beautiful film. I’ve been studying solo climbing for months now. I’m only beginning to refine a top rope system and I’m only beginning to understand lead. It highlighted his lifestyle greatly and the flying at the end was the coolest way to end a multi pitch

I'd say I reached this point after dedicating many years to learning as many disciplines of climbing as I could. The flying is just an extension of having fun in the mountains
Once you reach the top of the pitch and build your anchor. What is the preferable technique for setting a static line, rappelling to clean, and jumaring back up? Also what belay device is he using?
why are these vids so short? we barely get to see any climbing. I hope yall get the hint with how low your ratings that people wanna see CLIMBING, and more than five minutes of it.
Sorry ETV, I want to downvote it... but I won't. But leaving a comment as such. I thought you were going to go all into "The Dark Arts" of Rope Soloing but it was... maybe 30seconds of him rope soloing and the rest about his lifestyle and paragliding? :/
I know next to zero about this but I don't see any real difference between this and base jumping. The danger level is as high as the death rate. Sure, people can drive cars over 200mph, too. But those cars can't have camera crews waiting for that deadly error. Having watched this I'm surprised this guy bothers with ropes.
Ropes are just for the video, he usually doesn't use them or climbing shoes as he's better suited with his hooves to the rock face. It's how he rolls...

I was not ready for that ending. Gad damn

Not long now, can't wait to get back too!!
this is a super humble dude! what an animal

truly inspirational. please more videos of solo rope climbing!
I think that flight looked wayyyyy more fun that the solo climb :)
Well, I'm pretty sure he had fun on both, climbing is less dynamic but more stressing
They're a pretty different buzz but the flying is always a highlight 😉
@@willismorris25 I don't know whether it was the camera lens or not, but DAMN it looked like you were barely skimming. Stay safe out there and enjoy!

That ending tho. Cracked out of your mind mate!
This whole setup just made the bucket list. Great vid.
Now do free solo. No rope.
@@selfactualizer2099 Rope soloing can be more dangerous than actual free soloing
Dude ❤ what an inspiration, tried paragliding once and love climbing. Not so into rope solo but the climb n‘ fly combo is genius
Wow what a badass that guy was. Seriously cool.
That was so awesome! Climb and fly.
Wow , you just changed my life for the better. Thank you
All that stoke at the end gave me chills. Fuck yes.
This dudes my new hero 🦸♂️
Man, you are the best!
You forgot the ones like me that like the solitude and sense of accomplishment rope solo climbing brings. I know I’m far from lonely or loose!😂
Don't worry, no one is judging you.
wow ! wish i could go wid u brother ! stay safe ! god bless - gr8 video

go on Willis
The risks are worth taking, but you gotta be sensible, you don’t want to steal tomorrow’s fun. Well put, sir.
I was going to ask how they get down with all their equipment doing this, crazy impressive!
What is that vehicle he uses to travel around the Alpa in. Looks pretty cool.
This made my day. I'm going to do all of this!! Where is it shot exactly?
Great!😃👍
Insane flight and I was curious on what gear he uses to protect himself
I have a feeling this guy isn’t afraid of heights,,,
I will do the climb but the wing might be a bit much.
Nice
Incroyables images! merci du partage! c'est inédit car une caméra sur le casque cela n'aurait pas existé il ya 20 ans (même 10 ans?) !
oui, nous n'avons filmé que l'année dernière.
You reach this status when you end completely obsessed with climbing and you do not have a partner. And later, you start to fly on your own.
I'd say I reached this point after dedicating many years to learning as many disciplines of climbing as I could. The flying is just an extension of having fun in the mountains
What gear was he using to belay himself?
Hard to see well enough to tell, but kind of looked like a GriGri.
@@natetronn I used a original grigri 1, simple but effective 👌
what a great fucking video
Anyone know where that valley is / what it's called at 03:52?
I was in the venosc valley in the encrins

late but pete whittaker made a video yesterday explaining rope solo and how to clean on wide boyz
what the climb called looks so fun
I wouldn't mind having no friends with a hobby like that .
The end of the video wasn't loud enough
Sadness at its top.
This guy seems rather active type
Fuckin sick
flying down is aid
😂

Perhaps we can try and do a more in depth one soon for you all 💪
w.o.w.
That got less about climbing fast, but cool
I am lonely and have no friends so now I guess this is my only option.
im jealous T_T
people are so fucking cool
what is a longevity of this type of guy? 2 seasons? 5 seasons?
😁
Dark art? Oh kmon! Its just a guy wanting to climb alone like I do.
Terrible title
So jealous of people who do this

Rewatched this again, and came to leave the comment I'd already left. *SMH* Old people! Still loved the video!

Are you saying he has a death wish? Because if you are you clearly didn’t understand that part of the video

"The dark art of rope solo" K did you forget free solo? Cmon calm down you got safety gear
bro, you just posted cringe
