What a car! Great work Tesla. Best bang for buck on the market
Honestly that price 🤯
@@LudicrousFeed for that performance, nothing comes close!
Thanks! It looks beautiful :D I noticed a Tesla car frame in the background, have you filmed that before? Our Tesla store here doesn't have one.
Yup that’s probably the same one from the old St Leonards store 🙏❤️
So good. My pre order is grey with white interior. No regrets. First hour order so should be July.
How exciting! Not long now 🙏
Same, although I went Red with black interior. Hopeless the white interior doesn't hold you up.
Thanks for sharing Tom 👍🏻 Legend!
My pleasure
Great video! Looking forward to the test drive especially over speed bump with its 5” ground clearance
Hopefully coming soon
I look forward to your review after a test drive.
Hopefully soon!
Just needs a dark headliner and dark T badge up front
Yeah that would look slick
Saw the Red 2024 Model 3 Performance in Parramatta on Saturday, very impressive, front seats felt comfortable, no stalks on the steering wheel.
I for one am glad they put the side slits back onto the front of the car. The change to the lower air intake also provides some much needed contrast when compared to the RWD/LR
Bucket seats are a nice touch too 👍
thank you for delivering such great content. Your videos defo influenced my decisions to buy one. expecting my model 3 LR stealth grey in 2 weeks :))
Awesome! Glad my content has been helpful 🙏
I got that exact same spec!!! Mine arrives May 29th to June 30th!! I can’t wait
How exciting! Not long now 🙏
What you think of putting 21" wheels on the back [like a Porsche 9II GT3 does] and leave front as is at 20"? Would 22" on the back and 21" on the front be better? if putting bigger tyres you would have to tune/fix the suspension again or should be fine without a tune/fix?
You’d have to trial and error on the track to see what staggered setup works best
Hi, I was just wondering what your thoughts were on the BYD Seal Premium now that the Tesla Model 3 Highland is only ~$2000 AUD difference in price.
Yup certainly brings it a lot closer doesn’t it!
Yessssss! The colour I ordered. Looks so nice in your video, thanks for sharing it.
My pickup is Chatswood, maybe if you don’t get a media car by the time I get mine you can come along for a cruise? 😎
Congrats!!! How good is a Performance Model 3 😍
Thanks for the kind offer, I’ll keep in mind 🙏😃
@@LudicrousFeed thanks mate, for sure!
@@TeslaStraya TeslaTom X TeslaStraya collab seems like the go in 2024 ...2019/2020 flashbacks & nostalgia
Checked at the red one at Parramatta, badge is blue too. Car looks amazing.
🤩
Any plans soon to make a detailed comparison video 'Tesla Model 3 Highland Performance RHD' vs 'BYD Seal Performance RHD'? NSW driveaway price of each, battery size, top speed, 0-100km/h time, hotness/coolness of the glass-roof, efficiency, range, other main-factors/stats
That would make a good comparison on paper 👍
You can turn regenerative braking off completely?! That’s crazy. Been wanting that for a while. Can’t wait until I get mine
It seems in track mode, yes. Otherwise there’s aftermarket products like the S3XY buttons/knobs that can help you achieve this: Gen 2 S3XY Buttons and S3XY Knob Installation Guide for Tesla Model Y
ua-cam.com/video/Vz0Uq5uKiWI/v-deo.html
does comfort make adaptive supsension ride like the std range smooth ride?
I’ll find out once Tesla loan me a vehicle to test 👍
We went there yesterday to test drive the MYLR (to add to our M3LR). We immediately fell in love with this and nearly ordered it on the spot! We will most likely order it.
One thing I was very disappointed with was the paint finish on this particular car - there was a lot of 'orange peel'. Did you notice that?
Yes Tesla paint always leaves a bit to be desired, especially when it’s not the multi coat red or white
@@LudicrousFeed @stephensizer9917 - white & also red paint is a multicoat, blue is a single coat. maybe get white or red paint?
While the new red looks better than the old one (which my car has), I won’t pay extra again. Even in “multicoat” it’s not great. I would buy the base colour and invest in a wrap. You get a greater choice of colour and you protect your car.
2:31 the render of the car on the screen doesn’t have the front bumper side air curtins or front splitter
Good pick up
it has in the software menu though at 6:52
Looks like rage Rear seats are same as the rest of the range?
Looks similar doesn’t it? I can confirm when I get a press car to test drive
Super stunning car. Want!! 🚙 ❤
😍
Anyone know as to why my delivery date changed?? It changed like three times since I put my order in and it used to say May 25th to June 22nd at first but as of this morning it says June 5th to 19th.
I got a blue on black. Worst part about all this is I won’t be in the country between these dates so how will I even receive delivery? What will happen to my car? USA
It happens in Australia also where delivery dates can often be delayed. I suggest either ask your Tesla to delay delivery until your return or provide a letter of authority for someone you trust to take delivery for you in your absence
Great work Tom , how the moral at the Tesla store , given the cut backs WW.
They were professional as always 🥇
Was planning to get the new LR later this year but the performance is very tempting even though the LR has more than enough performance for me
For a little more you get a lot … !
Ordered this exact spec
..
Congrats!
Worth paint protection?
It’s a personal choice and comes down to how long you intend to keep it for 😃🙏
Tom in the mini Plaid.....his natural habitat.
😆 It's easy to review a Tesla
You lot in Australia get a good deal for the M3P but here in the uk 🇬🇧 prices starts £59,990 🤬
@Alan-xk9rk - red paint, white seats, no EA & no FSDC in UK costs GBP£63,090 (AU$119,758 NSW) driveaway prices. in Australia the NSW (state) driveaway is AU$91,397 ..price difference of AU$28,361 (GBP£14,941)!
We also get better weather😉
@@tematennis I know it’s just not fair 🤣
Is that the Tesla paint quality on the top of the boot at the start of the video or is it the lighting? Is this not sorted even on the latest ones?
It’s not the lighting 🧐
@@LudicrousFeed😬
I really want a M3P in quicksilver. I'll hope and hold for now.
I’d say it will eventually come …
this is so tempting lol
😋
@@LudicrousFeed @PKerry12 - do a trade-in surely, optimal to have the latest car, cant put a $ price on life experiences
@@Sensei_88_ I don't sell a car after a year unless it terrable lol
@@pkerry12 😁 Stanley Touché
4:43 that rear screen is already scratched to hell
Screen protector anyone? 😆
That blue looks good under showroom lights. Way better than natural light (compared to the blue Tesla's I see on the road). If only they could make a blue that pops like the new red colour.
Most cars look pretty good under showroom conditions 😁
Adding ceramic coating helps give it that extra shine when washed 🥂
I’ve got a M3P in blue and have received several compliments about what a nice colour it is.
Ya think Tesla will fix the wheel issue you mentioned? That was a great observation you made. The wheel design should be mirror images from each side other wise, one side is aerodynamic and the other side isn't.
I’ve noticed this with a lot of the Performance Model 3/Ys that have been delivered to date … hopefully with those plastic attachments, there’s a chance they can be replaced/customised to ensure directionality 🤪
Nope, Tesla intentionally doing it to save money.
@@Tommmmmmmmmmmm they spend 10 billions in AI training, and bet tons of money on a charging infrastructure decades ago when they didn’t have to, so it’s probably not due to money. They cut cost really to manufacture vehicles faster/more efficient than any OEM’s by a large margin. I asked this question because they already invest $ on the M3 Performance to make the wheels staggered so making each side mirror/directional wheels makes sense this time.
Well we didn't get the Model S Plaid but this pretty much makes up for it, and is more affordable.
It’s a good compromise 👍
This exact same car [red paint, with white seats, no EA, no FSDC] AU$91,397 NSW driveaway, if black seats AU$89,822 NSW driveaway. Seems cheap price for a performance RHD vehicle 🪫 🔌 🏎
For the listed specs, it’s incredible
Any new info on the discrepancy in power compared to the Panasonic batteries? will there be a software patch Tom ? Don’t like it won’t have same power as USA version . And before some pricks starts going on about how I won’t notice the different, It’s not about that. It’s about getting what you pay for and expecting the same product as everyone else.
I can discuss that if/when I get a media loan 👍
You won't notice the difference.....
@@moestreiread comment again , I’ve covered you there 😊
@@robertvanzant2653 sorry, I (The prick) tried to be funny here but I failed.
It must get hot under that glass roof, right?
That’s why you need a decent sunshade: Silver Coated Model Y Glass Roof Sunshade | Can it improve efficiency?
ua-cam.com/video/oOAaoLT5Rik/v-deo.html
@LudicrousFeed I have a sunroof now and I only use the tilt function, or fully opet at night. If anything prevents me from buying Tesla it'll be this. This is a wrong approach for Australia.
This video pushed me to possibly get blue! Since red is to expensive for the tax credit
Then get it ceramic coated to make sure it’s extra shiny when washed! 🤩
Judging by what I do with Chill and Standard, I wouldn't trust myself with one of them. 😵💫.
Having previously owned a Performance Model 3, trust me when I say the acceleration is catapultingly quick 🤯
The Ludicrous badge is Blue to black on all cars. It has nothing to do with the colour of the car.
Noted
wow the carpets are dirty must have had alot of people in there.
Hottest item in the showroom right now
Tesla cars are the best EVs. No other match.
They’re certainly great in many ways 👍
Nice car SUV tesla
The Model 3 is usually referred to as a sedan 👍 There was however also a Quicksilver Model Y SUV which looked quite nice 😋
the car looks very angry :D
Mean and lean
Imagine getting a BYD Seal over this
... and still loving it! 😁 Long Range BYD Seal Highway Range and Efficiency Driving in the Rain ua-cam.com/video/4N_0qB13Kkc/v-deo.html
@@LudicrousFeed @Tommmmmmmmmmmm ~ plus he [BYD Tom] needed a one-motor car so his family can drive it soon when they are on L P plates, with a M3 P as seen in this video they can't drive it since its two motor
Seal Performance still represents great value and is about $15k less than the M3P.
@@harrylo2316 @LudicrousFeed ~ difference of AU$15,301 between the two NSW driveaway (shark-grey expensive paint BYD Seal P with 19 inch wheels 82.6kWh battery size black seats $74,521, red expensive paint M3 P with 20 inch wheels black seats $89,822). What is the battery size of the M3 P Highland RHD AU?
With the name ludicrous I thought you would be buying one
So tempting right 😋
@@LudicrousFeed pretty good excuse. Surely your missus cannot reject it.
This cars is amazing !! Tesla’s best car for the buck hands down !! There is a huge difference btw the performance model vs the RWD & LR. This is an M3 killer ⚡️😎
It’s a huge step up for only marginally more $
Far better value than the BMW M3 😎
M3 killer? Don't think so. The new M3 is going to have 530hp this has 460hp in Australia, and the BMW interior is light years in front of a Tesla for quality.
All round track times the M3 will be in a different class. You get what you pay for.
@@mattyoz0 in the US it has 510 hp and with capability to reach 600 hp. I had an M3 this will hands down be a better vehicle in the US. You should test drive it. I forgot all about my M3 as soon as I stepped into a Tesla Model 3 performance ⚡️
@@gust9464 Wow 600hp? do you know what a s58 makes with just a tune?
@@gust9464 btw some of us track our cars. not just traffic light race.
NMC battery... no thanks
It’s a drawback but presumably it wouldn’t concern most P owners
@@LudicrousFeed @fatdoi003 - Nickle good enough for me, invested heavily in NIC (asx) Nickle Industries a while ago [has gone from 56 cents to 95 cents in the last few months]
Mine MNC has done almost 400.000km and only14% degradation. They make you charge the LFP to 100% because it needs it for balancing.
@@moestrei it comforts me my battery lets me charge to 100% instead of once every few months....
@@fatdoi003 OK Mr Compfy: The LFP datasheet says cycle life DOD (Dept Of Discharge) 100% : 1000 cycles. DOD 90%: 2000 cycles. DOD 80%: 7000 cycles. But what are 1000 cycles? If you have a real world range of 400km it gives you theoretically 400.000km. So Tesla knows the warranty period will be covered just fine. But as we do not have 74 little NMC cells in parallel (which average all differences and almost never require balancing) we have now big prismatic LFP bricks and there is no natural averaging/balancing happening. They are also much harder to cool/heat. Charging to 100% means that some cells will be slightly overcharged and that overcharge will be slowly bled off by balancing resistors until they are all nicely top balanced. My NMC battery has done almost 400.000km and the degradation is 14%. Also: Charging from 80-100% is a very slow process...better move on so others can use the fast charger (RIP Tritium).
when Tesla is missing features it is "interesting" anyother manufacture is a flaw.. I guess when you have Tesla shares is hard to be objective
lol I sometimes forget I have shares 😆
