    Killed it!! 💓Your tablescape is impeccable!!! So light, airy and casually classic with the blue and white dishes. Love it! What a beautiful day w/ decor to match for an afternoon tea.
    I love your channel Sophie! All the inspiration, influence and motivation to create BEAUTIFUL spaces inside my home is all your fault! 🤩 The frames are gorgeously chic.
    One thing is true, you made me a believer when you said, “don’t come for me”😅 my reply is…NEVER! Thanks for the fun moments, great content, wealth of knowledge you share each upload but most of all…taking one for the team and venturing off on a field trip to the supermarket. Winging it worked out to be a Cohesive plan that came together nicely! ✨🤩 Hope your guests enjoyed and appreciated your hard work to the fullest! ❤

    I adore afternoon tea! I always make my petit four and scones myself and I break tradition with mini meringues which I also make. I fill them with cream and strawberries smooshed together like mini Eton mess. There’s nothing quite like a cucumber sandwich but I always get dietary requirements from my guests beforehand. Also there are gluten free scones and sausage rolls you can use. I’ve been known to make a full stand with just gluten free for some guests.
    Your table is just lovely!

    What a beautiful afternoon tea Sophie. We used to have afternoon tea a lot in New Zealand before cafes were available to eat out. It was always an occasion to look forward to. Thank you for sharing the traditional scone recipe. Also the clotted cream recipe is new to me and for those who are interested, it is below.
    Making clotted cream, as it turns out, is extremely easy - it just takes a while:
    Add 1 litre of cream to 1 litre of full milk and heat it over a double boiler (on medium) for around 5 hours. You will need to keep the water in the bottom pot topped up during this time. Do not disturb the yellow skin that forms on the surface of the cream- this is where the magic happens. After 5 hours remove from the heat and allow to cool completely in the fridge, preferably overnight. Now carefully remove the raft of cream (which will be topped with a thin layer of golden butter-fat) on the surface, and transfer to a sealable container. The remaining liquid is effectively skimmed milk and can be used as such.

      You can buy thickened cream in the supermarkets here in New Zealand which is the same as clotted - great with piklets and jam 😊

    Hi Sophie! Love your videos and the way you design everything basically😂 I would love to see you design a living room/bedroom but with cheap items only🤭🤭 I wanna see where you go big and where you go cheap. I think it would be nice because most people go cheap when buying certain things and we would see how that impacts the whole look.

    I also enjoy a traditional tea. Over several years of being entertained at high teas or even a simple tea with a luxurious selection of biscuits; tea services are about the lovely presentation of the table, the food and the social gathering. I will make several sweet pastries with a side dish of clotted cream, preserves and syrups to drizzle over sweet breads, scones, pound cakes, a mix of cucumber, chicken salads with fruit and nuts and a few hot or warm finger foods or small filled savory crepes. I usually have several hot pots of water, about six varieties of lose leaf teas, honey, Crytal sugar, and warm milk and lemon.

    I love that. I did a nod to it on my birthday last week. I used vintage pieces of china, including a beautiful tiered stand. I served hoisin duck steam buns in their paper bags and mini veggie spring rolls for the savoury selection and some French fancies and vienesse whirls for the sweet with a traditional strawberry plate with strawberries 🍓 I did drink Earl Grey tea but moved to Rose cocktail (adding tropical juice) later, as it was my birthday! 😂

    Have just made some date and orange scones. Afternoon tea or high tea is a wonderful occasion. The idea is to keep things small and easy to eat. Small savouries, club sandwiches or I sometimes make sandwiches and cut them out with a wiggle edge cookie cutter and then coat the edges in finely chopped parsley. Small cakes and of course your favourite teas. Love to set the table with my English china too Sophie.

    Hi Sophie - tips on the healthy gluten free indulgent menu... 1 Potato salad 'base' (or, as I've come to prefer, cold sautéed potatoes, because i'm a heathen) cooked with butter &/or a little good quality olive oil (Odysea is great) then 2 -grab some authentic (aka, goats) greek yogurt, full fat cream cheese, squeeze of lemon, little black pepper, whip it up... Drizzle just a dash of honey & salt on the potato, spoon the creamy lemon 'smush' on to the potatoes then add as much smoked salmon as you like to top everybody's portions (works just fine if you want to pre-mix it all too, if you want to thicken it in to more of a mousse blend it & you can even throw in some of the salmon) :) avoid those seed oils where possible in gluten free btw, seed oil makes us over produce oestrogen because it damages our cholesterol cells, (which make your oestrogen & other hormones) so you might find some (many) GF & other processed foods make your 'monthly symptoms' worsen as well as finding it hard to shake weight - but don't avoid fat, good butter, oily fish... hard cheese & greek yoghurt & eggs are super good for you x Also - grated carrot, so good for so many things for us girlies even just digestion & is a delicious crunchy salad base instead of breads etc :) esp coronation chicken ;)

    I'm the biggest fan of your interiors and have loved watching your UA-cam videos however more recently the videos are beginning to feel like a JML show. The constant ads to what you are selling and the constant sponsors. I hate having to skip through your videos but it is becoming a common occurrence now😢- please bring back the more laid back natural videos where you come across as you're actually enjoying yourself and not just interacting with your audience to sell a photo frame or a cushion.

    • @sophiepatersoninteriorsltd
      @sophiepatersoninteriorsltd  Рік тому

      I’m sorry you feel like that. We pay all the production costs of the videos through our interior design studio- it costs about £4000 to produce each video and AdSense doesn’t cover it so occasionally we do ads to try and cover some of the costs. Most people creating this level of production value wouldn’t do it for free so sometimes there’s a compromise - please bare that in mind and when it comes to the frames and art I was excited to share this new collection/ designs with our audience.
