Someone asked me for a quick list so they wouldn't have to watch the longer video? If you just want a list with no reasons why, or in what case to use it for, then for GLUE 1. E6000, 2. hypotube cement 3. Crafters Pick 4. Ceralun For sealant: 1. Krylon Spray Lacquer, matte or satin 2. Swellegant Clear Coat Sealant 3. Allergy Shield or high quality nail polish 4. Diamond Glaze BUT: in response to what I'm sure was an innocent request, please consider this: unless you watch the video you will not know when to use them, why, when not to use them, how. You might have to watch 4-5 other glue videos on a bunch of different kinds of glue to know what I tell you in this video. So there's the list. But with the list only, you won't know that if you use E6000 on foil back stones, you could ruin them. ;-0 OR that if you use Krylon or Allergy shield over alcohol ink, it can run. There is a method that works using Krylon for over alcohol ink, but I can't tell you in a list. So again, you'd have to watch.

Hello, I'm not a jewellery maker. I'm about to buy two fluorite crystal half drilled top drilled briolettes and I was wondering which glue would be best for sticking the silver earring hook? Thank you in advance for your advice. Best wishes, E
Thank you! I am not a jewelry pro, but I have made quite a lot over the years. I purchased 2 different glass to metal glue. One of them being a two part glue. Tried many times but everything falls off. I've had more success w/ floral glue. I do have the E600. My large tube is difficult. Hehe I think I'll follow your advice, get small tube. I'm working w/ some vintage buttons I have a plan for. Hehe I don't want to screw them up, only have 4! ;)
You mentioned Loctite - that brand has different type of glues, which one you recommend from their range? I am looking fro a strong glue for glueing sea glass to metal but haven't found the right one yet. (for stud earrings there the glass pearl will see some force when you remove the earring back so it needs to be strong) Thank you for your advices!
Thanks for watching. My guess is to read the package to find out what sort of glue it is and what it's best for. I haven't really done this sort of thing in my own work. ;-)
I really really love the E6000 cousin, B-7000. It has a nice tip a bit larger than the GS hypo tube nozzle but the same idea (but with more forgiveness.) the thing I DON’T like in it is it dries slightly yellow. I often need completely crystal clear!
I believe that's it's Chinese version. The yellowing doesn't work for me, either. LOL I stick with E6000....after about thirty years of success with it, why change?
HELP! I paint mandala’s on the back of glass cabochons using acrylic paints, how do I seal it so I can mount them on bezel trays and what glue would I use to mount them on a bezel after I seal it? Thank you and loved the video. Very helpful for a beginner like me!
Hi there, you can seal it with diamond glaze or Krylon spray lacquer clear coat. You can use E6000 to mount the cabochon to the bezel. But remember to do it on the edges of the cabochon so it will stick. The back of the cabochon and the paint together will not stick.
Hi! Love your great advices. But can you advise me as how to spray tiny charms for bracelets without painstakingly doing them individually? Do I put them in a like, ziplock bag and spray the whole bunch ( which maybe around 500 pieces.?
After using E-6000 for several years I am going back to Epoxy 330. Since it is a two-part epoxy, it stays inert and never goes bad. I have thrown away so many unfinished tubes of E-6000 because the glue begins to fail after a few weeks or months, while Epoxy 330 will last for years. It is used by lapidary folks to repair cracked and broken stones because it dries so clear and hard. The GS Hypo cement is more stringy than Epoxy 330, especially if the tube has been open a while. I mix the two parts on foil, stir with a toothpick for about 15 seconds and it ready to use. I apply with the toothpick. To me, Epoxy 330 seems less smelly than E-6000, but I haven't researched the difference.
Most two parts break down and yellow in time. Sometimes they become brittle. This is not likely to happen with E6000...I have old work 30 yrs old made w E and no breakdown or brittleness or yellowing. Just as some folks shy away from resin because they have to mix it right to get it to work, this is also an issue with epoxy glues. Your method of application is how I would use it, but if your glue is getting old you’re not sealing it well after use or just not using fast enough. No glue is meant to be opened and,eft unused for an indefinite period of time. Epoxy might be okay w foiled stones but there are a lot of things you do withhypotube besides set stones. Many beaders use it. Epoxy would be inconvenient in that case. What I do is opt for smaller tubes of E and use them up as I go. But if you have found something you feel works best for you that’s all that matters. :-). My thing is that I’ve literally made and sold thousands of pieces over my career and the success rate w E could not be denied. I had a wholesale line in the 90s with several hundred wholesale accounts. Over the almost ten years I made it, we virtually had nothing come back because the glue didn’t hold. That’s why I can recommend it so highly. Sadly it is quite toxic so precautions must be taken. Your Epoxy 330 is toxic too. So we all have to be careful. Thanks so much for weighing in w an alternative.
What is the best glue for the mini glass globes. Flexible cement isn’t right, super glue affects the glass. Any advice would be very much appreciated 😊
I did use diamond glaze to glue a few flat back crystals on a cuff, worked well..I had checked around forums and Q and A ....people love it for that.. , I've been busy making paper beads..lol..you have an old video ....I'm loving it, I'm actually adding some gilder paste to some, and maybe some swellegant ... ..I think I'll be using the diamond glaze as a finish coat. For some reason, they say ice resin doesn't work well on paper beads. Some of the paper beads I've seen online are absolutely gorgeous, and you can mix the glass beads and all right in with them..
Yes, many will lay the flat back crystals straight into the DG and it works. I would not do that on a cuff, though, because everything on a cuff has to be on there TO STAY, cuffs take a lot of banging around. So those crystals could pop right off with DG which as an adhesive is weak. Jewelry has to be strong, made to be worn and to last. DG would be better on a necklace, earrings, or brooch. My paper beads video was made 8-9 years ago and a lot of people didn't like it, not sure why, but evidently they didn't. But I can tell you this: with paper, you need to seal. Mod Podge is very effective for that. You might be able to get away with Mod Podge alone, there are many different varieties. I used to carry a special sealant for paper beads but then it became hard to get, and turns out it was a lot like watered down Mod Podge. But I would not use ICE either. You can make resin paper with ICE, which is really cool. But, no, I would not use ICE for paper beads, and you might want to test DG over some of the stuff you are using there. In the video I mention how you shouldn't use it with brass ox plating, as it gets weird. It could react to some of those things you are using the same way, so test first.

I completely understand, after my illness back in the mid 2000's, I wouldn't use it for a number of years. But I also made very little jewelry at that time. I DID try Crafters Pick and of the non tox glues it did work but takes forever to cure. Is it as strong as E? I don't think so...but it comes very close. I do use it now and I just keep the glue rules in mind....keep it off your hands, don't eat while using, don't use it every day and lots of good ventilation.
If I'm just sealing, the Krylon products do an excellent job. I like matte best, or if I want a slight sheen, the satin. I don't like the gloss, but that's just personal taste. I've had a look at Everbrite, but I have never been tempted to try. Kinda like E6000, many people have said, oh no, this glue or that glue instead. I've never found anything is good, for me the search was over. Kinda like that. Also, cost is less and it's easy to get Krylon anywhere. If I can't use Krylon, I use Swellegant clear finish which is matte and doesn't have much of an odor, which is great.
Sadly it's not available anymore. Better is Apoxie Sculpt, as we came to find out, anyway. Find Apoxie Sculpt in the mixed media section of www.bsueboutiques.com

Hi there, so sorry, I just now saw this. I would use Sculpt Nouveau clear sealant, which we sell at the website. www.bsueboutiques.com/Matte-Clear-Sealant-Smart-Coat-For-Metals-03-p/met03.htm
That would be a another video, Wendy, since this one is about glue/sealant...but in a nutshell, to answer you----I don't see much difference. Maybe someone who is really into wire and does a great deal of wire art has an opinion, but in most all cases ---FOR ME--all the main names are great. One thing I have noticed is color. Beadsmith seems to be a little glossier; Artistic has some colors that are less so. Others like Parawire. I like Parawire but not enough to change out what we already carry at the website..... so we have Beadsmith primarily and sometimes some Artistic, at www.bsueboutiques.com

Have you ever tried Arlene’s jewelry and metal glue can you let me know what you think
Any wreck come in Dacians for gluing small rocks or pebbles to each other? I’m thinking the E 3000, but interested if you’ve heard of anything that might work better
Probably better if you drill and string them. E is pretty good but maybe glass glues would work better. I think you will have to experiment!
Thank you so much!
Which is the best to glue jewels on nylon
Not sure, maybe a glue for fabric? I am usually gluing to metal.
I use UHU glue the clear in yellow tubes and evostick contact cement can you tell me are these good as I have a box of big tubes of UHU and a paint tin sized tin of evostick contact adhesive
Thanks in advance, just found your channel 👍🏻😊✌🏻
That might be good for paper, but not for assemblage, metal to metal, etc.
@@bsueboutiques ok I've just ordered some E6000 but was assured that evostick and UHU were above and beyond my needs, I shall see after I test them I suppose 👍🏻✌🏻
@@kaijuk sounds good. Don't forget, you can get all these things at bsueboutiques.com, too We appreciate our viewers' business.
@@bsueboutiques just checked the website sadly it's not cost effective as I'm in the UK and I see the site is in dollars so I'm assuming in the US
@@kaijuk yes we are in UK. Can’t ship this glue over there anyway. At least you can get it over there. We still have customers in UK but they tend to buy our 1928 parts as is an exclusive product you can’t get anywhere else. Yes all the shipping rules costs and the duty charged on your end has taken a toll on business in the UK
B'sue is the Crafters Pick Ultimate strong enough for assemblage and heavy glass cabs? I worry about using E6000 all the time.
I'm going to give the Crafters Pick a try :)
Would the sealants work with wooden jewelry?
They should!
Have you ever used everbrite as a sealant on metal?
If I'm just sealing, the Krylon products do an excellent job. I like matte best, or if I want a slight sheen, the satin. I don't like the gloss, but that's just personal taste. I've had a look at Everbrite, but I have never been tempted to try. Kinda like E6000, many people have said, oh no, this glue or that glue instead. I've never found anything is good, for me the search was over. Kinda like that. Also, cost is less and it's easy to get Krylon anywhere. If I can't use Krylon, I use Swellegant clear finish which is matte and doesn't have much of an odor, which is great.
how do i unglue the Applicator? it’s clogged on my G-S hypo cement
Thank you 🌸
You’re welcome 😊
I've used both Apoxie sculpt and ceralun but the ceralun seems stronger imo.
It really is. I'm not a big Apoxie Sculpt fan.
Thanks!
Your welcome
Is it possible to use light mod podge as a sealer?
You should seal any paper you intend to use in a bezel etc, and top with resin, and mod podge is best.
Where can I buy ceralun?
Sadly it's not available anymore. Better is Apoxie Sculpt, as we came to find out, anyway. Find Apoxie Sculpt in the mixed media section of www.bsueboutiques.com
Can someone help me figure out what and how to use a sealant of some kind to seal 24K Gold Leaf and also paint to silver? I have a very cool pendant with gold leaf in one eye and blue paint of some kind in the other, and I want to seal them there clear and so it won't chip off or rub off with time. Anyone have any help? I could REALLY REALLY USE IT!!!!!!😳😂🙏🏻🤘🏻
Hi there, so sorry, I just now saw this. I would use Sculpt Nouveau clear sealant, which we sell at the website. www.bsueboutiques.com/Matte-Clear-Sealant-Smart-Coat-For-Metals-03-p/met03.htm
what are the differences in wire ? Artistic, etc.
Thank you @@bsueboutiques
@@wendycarter9115 You are very welcome. Thank you so much for watching the videos, much appreciated.
Permalac?
Tbh I wish there was a scent free glue. Things like e6000 give me terrible terrible migraines
You know, E6000 made one that was really low odor but everyone said it didn't adhere as well. So that's no good either!
