That was so good to watch. Love this era in railways.

Wow, that brought back some memories, a lot of the locomotives in the video have been dealt with by Sims Metal. Red terror, candy colours, FreightRail 49's in green and yellow and old tuscan red, all represented in your video. Just imagine the toxins in that soil at DELEC after years of leaky locomotives parked in the yard...Missed seeing some 85 & 86 class. Cracking video, thank you.👌

Very Easy - sign in with the chargeman, sign the indemnity form, take note of the simple safety briefing, and off you go ! I was 14 in 1993. Cant imagine 14 year olds gaining entry to such premises these days.

0:10 Great vid, talking of indementy, my dad worked in the construction of the then new brick crib/sign on room Delec, opposite to the fuel sanding towers in 1981-2, he obviously thought i had the common sense as a impressionable kid & decided to take me along on the weekend while he worked, I was 8yrs old, couldn't believe my eyes seeing all these massive oily grimmy brown and yellow (reverse and original livery) alcos idling & snarling away in the yard, (probably Mk1 44s) waiting for their next call of duty, I also remember seeing a brand new candy 8101 on dock outside shed, so someone will correct me on the year and date, saw plentiful 44s 45s,48s,a couple 421s and I think a 42 class,
Try doing that today in this world of Cotton wool safety rules!
Again, this is an awesome video. I woke some real great childhood memories seeing it.
