    awesome video! I use a Bic ball point pen (I take the inner ink chamber out) and slide the long wick inside and use that to place my wick in the container using the centering tool. I'm able to push hard on the other end of the hollowed out ball point pen and press hard.

    I'm about to make my first ever, citronella candles. I've never made poured candles in my life, but watching you, I feel confident enough to try. The mosquitoes here in Texas have gotten so horribly bad this year, my son spent 50$ on a salt gun so he can sit on the back porch. The bug zapper, 2 store bought citronella candles, and a butane citronella thing hasn't been strong enough to keep these monster mosquitoes away. Some are actually the size of quarters! I'm hoping that by making strong scented candles will help. I'm also going to make peppermint scented ones to see which works better.

    I noticed that other people who make wax massage candles use soy, shea butter, avocado oil and deodorized cocoa butter. I noticed that you don't use other ingredients other than the coconut wax, is there a reason why? Would I be able to utilize deodorize cocoa butter, shea butter or avocado oil in the same recipe? Also if I didn't want to use the fragrances and would rather use straight essential oil, can I do that? Thank you

    Hi, these look amazing. I have just made my first candle using coconut wax and lemongrass essential oil. Can you please advise at what temperature you need to heat the wax before adding the oil and what temperature you can then pour the wax into the containers? I had to put mine in the fridge to set as it took longer than hour. Thank you.

    How do you massage with candle wax at all? There must not be wax in this ...right? Isn't it just hardened coconut oil or the wax in it would clog pores and look & feel waxy? Im so confused by this!

    Hi Ariane!!! Love this video!! I have this shipment of this vessels coming my way soon. I also bought a wax melter to Heat the soy Bliss wax over 200 F as recommended in the manufacturers instructions but now that i see that you used a griddle i wanted to ask what is better to get the wax heated to 200F a griddle or the waxmelter? I found that the griddle would be easier to use since i could melt several pitchers at the same time. But let me know your experienced opinion please. Thanks.

    • @ArianeArsenault
      @ArianeArsenault  3 роки тому +3

      The griddle works well for small quantities but does take a bit longer. If you make large batches I would recommend a professional melter

    Hi from Ottawa! I just made some massage oil candles with a recipe from Brambleberry. Anne Marie said not to use fragrance oils, only essential oils because fragrance oils aren’t skin safe. Is that true? I used to make massage oil candles with Palo Santo Patchouli fragrance oil from The Flaming Candle. It’s quite expensive using essential oils!! What’s your opinion on this subject? Thank you. You are a great inspiration!!
