The book opened up a whole new reading world for me. I still cry every time. Movie was a faithful adaptation. A who's who of later movie stars. Shared both with my children and grandchild. The gold of both still stays bright.
I read the book in my Senior year in 1987. One of my all time favorite Movies. " NO Jazz before the rumble" 💙 and how could I forget, one of my all time favorite songs "Stay Gold" sung by the incomparable Stevie Wonder🥰

But you are very naieve if you think the guys and gals in Hollywood / apperance industries aren't using fillers, peels, injectables and other treatments. A lot of them say they are natural when all they really mean is they haven't had an actual face lift, but they consider the other treatments as "enhancements" and not cosmetic procedure (which they are) Not all of them do, but Diane Lane looks too good, as you said, she actually looks better now. She is a beautiful women with or without the procedures, but I would bet my life savings she has had work done. how else can you explain a women that old without any wrinkles?

Such a great book/movie. If anyone is ever in Tulsa Oklahoma, make sure to check out all of the cool filming locations! Especially The Outsiders House Museum! The Curtis brothers home is perfectly restored to its original movie looks and is filled with lots of incredible memorabilia and screen used items! Highly recommend!!!

Great film -- usually not taken "seriously" by those who don't understand (or who have forgotten) what it was like to be a teenager.
My childhood & teen years were just like Johnny's so no matter how old I get, I'll never forget. I just love the movie.
Those whom disparage this film, don't appreciate quality filmmaking.
