When Doyle Brunson folded Broadway, I think it was because he caught the way Jason Koon took a look at him. Doyle is the last of the original Texas Holdem players who relayed on the psychological side of the game, as opposed to all the math nerds who play now. Don't forget, Doyle is the only big man still around who has literary played poker in situations where it was sometimes a life and death situation. And while I myself utilize math in my game, which is easy to master, let me say this for the record: Even if you have a 95% chance of winning, when you do lose that one out of twenty hands, the loss you take is a 100% fact... In other words, you cannot simply be a calculating nerdball, and without reading abilities, and be a prolific champion. I don’t think I ever could fold Broadway on that board with the Jh blocker against Jason Koon. That’s an insane read by Doyle. Think that’s just pure instinct or did he pick up something from the bet sizing / pacing on Koon’s line?
Commentator saying Doyle made a mistake shoving on the A3. No it wasn’t a mistake he just knew he needed a double up so he was just putting the chips in and praying he’d win. He knew he was behind. 🤡

@@Gos1234567 and? He had been playing close to excellently until this point. Calling off his final chips with A3 was a combination of being tired and frustrated from having to make multiple huge lay downs earlier in this session. 88 year olds still tilt.

He plays the game the way it was intended. Doyle Brunson definitely defines modern day poker. Love Doyle.

Having a hand named after you, is like a hero on history books..

That broadway fold was pure fire. Doyle is a legend for a reason.
88 years old and still sharp as a tack on the felt. Not a lot of people who’d fold that straight.

Yeah it was so bad since he still had a lot of chips. If he had like 15k I'd still probably fold lol, but it would be more understandable.
