*Absolutely love the **Bestt.Digital** Label Printer! I have needed a label printer to make shipping orders so much easier but the fact that i got it in such a pretty color. Top notch! Prints nicely*
Finished watching the whole video just for support, but once you said "proprietary labels," I was out. That is the number one most important feature I am looking for in a printer right now. AND it doesn't print shipping labels from mobile? No thanks. (it's super weird that it will print from mobile... just not shipping labels....) This is the second feature I'm focusing on. If it doesn't use free labels, it at least had better be mobile compatible. But neither?? Big heckin nope from me. Thanks for all your reviews. I've spent the last week trying to pick the perfect printer to invest in for my business and your reviews and comparisons have been invaluable.
I personally love this printer works wonders for my small business. Straightforward easy to use and versatile. I use it from my computer phone, tablet whatever is handy at the moment.
Can you start a tutorial on how to print a etsy label from my iphone.... I have been messing with this piece of junk for 2 weeks and cant get anything to show on my iphone... I can ping it, see it, it shows on the app but when I go to print from an Iphone it says CANT FIND A PRINTER.....
Wondering if this machine will be a good replacement for my old Dymo Labelwriter. This one sounds promising but where does the data for the address labels come from? Contacts? I'm a Mac person.
VIDEO MISTAKE: YOU CAN'T EDIT/DESIGN LABELS FROM THE MOBILE APP. I didn't know this when filming, I just assumed you could. You can only design/edit them from desktop, then print that copy from mobile. My apologies. Hopefully zebra will add this feature in an update. Brother Ptouch allowed me to design labels to an extent on my phone so I assumed this could. 🤷♂️
Cool tech. As always, great video! Probably too costly for a small eBay-type business. Like you said, we are still waiting for the one that does it all, without needing proprietary labels, and at a reasonable price. Fingers crossed it comes soon.
Hey man, thanks for the review. I found this review after I already bought the printer because it was a surprise to me that it used proprietary labels. I have now tested several printers and the ZSB is the only one that I have found that will print a clear international USPS label. The latest I tried was the FreeX that you recommended and the difference is night and day, in favor of the ZSB. Have you found any other thermal printers that will handle an international USPS label? I really don’t want to hold onto this one with its high per label cost, but I might have to. Thanks!
@@thecollegepicker is there a 300 dpi printer you’d recommend over this one? If I could show you a pic, the difference is drastic but only on the international labels
In case anyone else reads this and had the same issue I had with international labels. I ended up with a GX430T and it prints great, as good or better than the ZSB but with $0.01 labels
I just bought a Dymo 450xl 2 days ago😳……..I just saw this video and will be returning for this one! Is this easier to use than Dymo with Shopify printing? Do you need to upload to a different program to print or will it just print directly from shopify?
Hi, great video thanks. We have been using Chromebooks and printing wirelessly for years now. I decided to get the ZSB-DP14 for eBay, (as we have had Zebra printers in the past). The ZSB is the 'Printer that works on All platforms' - well apparently it doesn't!! If you happen to know of any work-around for Chromebooks, please let us know........ Ps, I can print a test label, but the printer does not show up on available printers to send a PDF file to?
I think the reason why Zebra made this printer is they want to jump into the "ship from home" bandwagon and some small businesses who want a desktop label printer. They market it as a dumb-proof printer with its proprietary labels. But like you said you are trading off the freedom of using non-proprietary labels with convenience. I noticed they don't have the 2x7 label yet... Too bad it does not have AirPrint.
The shipping functionality isn't there yet unfortunately. Advertised as wireless and mobile, but can't print shipping labels from mobile 🤦♂️. And at 13.5 cents/label 🤦♂️🤦♂️. We need a 3rd party developer to come in, make labels 1/3 the price, and zebra to update the app to allow shipping label printing and it'll increase the feasibility of the product 10x.
It definately defeats the point, may as well pony up a bit more for another Zebra model and make back the difference on cheaper labels over time. I'd be interested to see if the Brother 6x4 will run other brand labels ok, I have a Brother QL-560 which uses the same design spool but smaller and you can split them open and replace the roll with cheaper labels of the same size, I'd bet you could do the same with the 6x4 labels. The other bit that annoys me is going to the effort of making a nice compact printer, then you have a messy cable with transformer in the middle of it, the Brother printers have that built in which imo is a far nicer design, unfortunately no one in the UK had them in stock when I was buying so I ended up with one of the Chinese models.
@@robertlees2065 I have both a Rollo and Zebra printers and like that I can switch labels between them. I recommend Rollo over any model Zebra by the way. Each are set up equally accessible to me, but I just find myself using Rollo over Zebra every time. I don't recommend any printers with proprietary labels.
Totally see your point of view Robert. I have a video showing 3rd party brother QL labels. The brother TD4550DNWB prints mobile/wifi/Mac/PC uses nonproprietary labels but it is expensive. Nobody has made something affordable that does it all....yet.
@@thecollegepicker It's the classic three things but pick two issue. The Brother QL-1110NWB looks nice imo and if it could feed regular 6x4 on a recycled spool is one I'd consider, my QL-560 is over 12 years old and has been flawless since I got it so anything Brother at least gets a consideration from me. I do everything from a desktop so wireless isn't a requirement for me but something I'd like to improve cable management. The Chinese label printer I got is honestly very good for the money though, the thing that really lets it down is the driver software which wasn't great and upset the settings for my other two printers.
Was looking for a wireless upgrade from my Zebra LP2844. Had seen this but what's the point of the goofy pointless cartridge? Compostable? Sure the current label rolls come on a cardboard tube so they can't play the environmental card 😂. Will pass on this.

can I print a return label from Amazon when they give me a return label to print?
Best printer!!!! With the new update they released where you can turn off the auto feed when changing labels, it’s perfect!
I disagree but I will check out the update.

I am looking to get the 2 inch zebra printer. What’s the best size labels for the Fba labels for my products?
Can you tell me which thermal printer you recommend for using as a receipt with a size 3.5x8.5inch. thanks
can i use ups thermal label?
Has anyone tried transplanting the UPS 4x6 label rolls into one of these ZSB cartridges? Does it still print or no
The carts are chipped so it would not work.
Is there a label printer on wifi which can use any label?
Rollo has finally released a wireless version of their label printer.
How is the 2inch different
It prints 2" width instead of 4" width.
is this compatible with clover?
how many label it holds? pleas help..
190 LABELS IN 4*6
What is todays best printer that can use universal labels? Anyone?
Chinese label printers from amazon, or maybe a used Zebra on ebay.

It's 300dpi vs 203dpi between the two. 203dpi is still acceptable although the quality is lower.

This is working for jewerly labels too?
If they sell those labels yes :)
£139 on Amazon for prime day. Good pickup? Or is there something better for cheaper? I don't really have time to view around for a good one!

If worrying about cost.. get a good condition old zebra printer for 50-60 bucks and use third party thermal labels
This is definitely on my radar now
Thanks for the heads up

Really helpful, thank you!

I am SUPER happy with the beepert BT version
They are good, they have their own setbacks also, but the price point and nonproprietary design is great.
For Etsy Sellers, they're running an $80 off coupon code you can use to purchase it from Staples January 2023
