Truly loved the original movie and those rousing songs, the dancing, harmonizing ,and of course, that great MR JAMES CAGNEY, The songs and the music had true passion and proudness about them, and where sung the way they where supposed too be sung, this show where ever it is from certainly never had that, with this performance, truly a let down,no i am not blaming the performers, but the directors, producers, and choreographers was truly abysmal, too try and change great songs like this is truly criminal, and thank God i never paid too see it,and sorry for those who did.
HAHAHAHAHAHA my favorite part 2:12... no, i spoke too soon 2:25 ... no 2:35 ... damn it! 3:00.... there are just way too man good parts. brings a tear to my eye
How did he not mention George M. Cohan, after all he contributed to American patriotism and Broadway? It wasn't "Americans" collectively who revised the lyrics. It was George M. Cohan!!!
Oh my God! Please give me the James Cagney rendition anytime of the day. This was horrendous in comparison. Where was the pride in his country, the love for it, the self confidence? He came across as an elitest playboy out for a good time, not someone who'd worked hard and had striven from poverty to get where he was. Sooo superficial. I cringed...
@hornbuckle Well, perhaps I went too far. I know not all Americans are like this, but they're certainly good at yelling loud (making it seem like all Americans are like this).
Exactly!! Cagney did it better. Even watched the entire performance of Cohan's play "Little Johnny Jones" (ua-cam.com/video/_KHwW7SH9qs/v-deo.html). Still believe Cagney was superior in his performance of Yankee Doodle Boy and Give My Regards to Broadway!
I have been in music for over 40 years with a masters degree. I have a very unique orchestra that I really thought it would be something people would really want to join, and they did. I have saved 3 other orchestras from going under as well as my own. I recently went to Midtown West Broadway and auditioned for an up coming musical. I'm in the top five finalists. I read the reviews below and am very disappointed! I view this master piece as a Broadway Production number! I can't stop watching this! Also, notice the ring on his finger - he is NOT gay. Just remember to look at the smiles on everyone's face and the excitement of doing this number!
The 2028 Olympics Opening Ceremony just needs to be this video replayed.
Those kicks are epic, and dont even get me started on the split. This guy is a bundle of talent lol.
It's kinda like watching a train wreck. You just can't take your eyes off of it.
George M Cohan would be proud to hear his songs done in a show like this the ones he wrote and produced on Broadway.
Holy shit what did I just see? This is like something my grandma would have dragged me to Branson Missouri for.
This is brilliant. I can't stop watching it. It's so wrong -- it's right.
So well done, beautiful.Gives me chills of joy.Thank you
Dude knows how to kick into high gear 🇺🇸

He talks about one song and performs a different one. He didn't talk about Cohan who wrote the song actually performed

Terrible singing by the guy and cheesy flag shirts. Did Tommy Hilfiger make those shirts?

I know, this is more upsetting to me than snuff porn.

Wow all that experience On Broadway you have!! I'm sure you're NOT gay as well huh?
If you would see the movie you’d understand why so many of us are disgusted
He’s very married and he’s my cousin haha. He was the minister of music at Bellevue for a long time
イチロー原曲だ
He thinks he's beautiful.
this looks 1980s ish wonder where it was filmed
How shallow and ridiculous! The way he's carrying on makes me wonder Is Yankee doodle dandy code word for something?
Propaganda level: North Korea
Dear world, on behalf of the normal Americans, I am so sorry. Not all of us are crazy overzealous patriots or Bible thumpers. This is embarrassing.
so Gay-ish choreography!
@sirvidia That's cool... I was being sarcastic about how awful this musical production is.
