Having seen horrible things he is unable to show emotion towards the loss of his physical apperance. his eye evke a sense of inner confusion; the conflict of his outer apperance with his intelectual and moral beliefs. It is more than just a haircut it is the death of one person , durring the creation of another.
Maybe it's because I don't get "performance" films, maybe because I don't understand fully how getting hair taken off is changing your inner and outer identity, I don't know. But to me it just looks like you're getting a hair cut. -Paul
