when checking the oil, the level must be in the checkert aria on the dipstick.. pull the dipstick out, whipe off with a cloth (orso) put the dipstick in, dont screw in, let it rest in the hole, pull out, and check if level is right. never over fill,. always stay in the checkert aria.
I have just bought a new Piaggio Medley 125 . The handbook says"Check the oil level after "COMPLETELY UNSCREWING" (In Bold), the dipstick. I think that means that it should be checked with the dipstick completely unscrewed. The Dealer insists that it has to be fully screwed in. He says that is just telling you how to remove the dipstick. Who is right?
Care with checking oil level. The dip stick should be just resting On the oil filler hole, when checking each time. And showing a reading only on the max/ min Screwing the dip stick all the way in , and checking Will only cause problems within the engine. It's always good to check that "handbook"
He overfilled it for sure. I got a vespa sprint and you shouldn't be able to see the oil level at that camera angle. overfilling can cause engine damage because of the increased pressure. The oil has only so much space to go.
Hi,I have piaggio Aprilia sr160 scooter manual recommends use 20w40 Castrol scooter engine oil, but it's not available in market, can I use 20w40 Castrol bike engine oil?
Big mistake! TOO MUCH ENGINE OIL. when you take the trouble to show others how to do an important maintenance like changing the oil, you have to know what you are doing otherwise you are giving bad advice which seriously risks damaging the engine! Amazing to fill the oil to the brim and start the engine without even checking if the level is adequate. I don't know of any vehicle that has an oil level filled to the brim! The seals may blow and the engine may suffer serious damage!
Men.. men... what a miserable oil change you do at last u did to much oil in it ...😮 You need look the dipstick when u did 3/4 bottle oil in the scooter...
Thankyou for sharing! Perfect video.
actually, you overfilled it. I‘m planning to do the same procedure with my scooter and it‘s supposed to take 850ml!
greetings from germany
This helped me a lot
