You’re right when you say it feels like fiction. There’s something about the grand nature of his plotting and creating this giant structure for the purpose of human torture, that doesn’t fit with what my human mind accepts as “reality.” My brain kicks this over to fantastical because it can’t fathom someone being so disturbed that they’d intentionally inflict so much horror. Thanks for the video.

That is a well formulated description of how I feel about it too.

I found about Homes thru an old radio show called Lights Out. Turns out it was originally broadcast out of NBC Chicago. One episode was called Murder Castle.

Dug through your video archives to rewatch this one! Been playing The Dark Pictures Anthologies: The Devil Is In Me, which is about H. H. Holmes. Thought about this video and had the urge to search for it.

I think the reason HH Holmes gets overlooked is because it was so long ago and America's fascination with serial killers really didn't start until the 1970s and 1980s when they were so prolific. Ask someone to name a serial killer and chances are they're from that time period.

I wish you would do more crime videos and zodiac follow up video. I always listen to crime podcast and mysteries, but it's nice when they are relaxing too especially considering the subject matter.

Actually, correct my previous comment. The book An Evil Love - The Life of Frederick West by Geoffrey Wansell has to be one of the most disturbing books I've ever read.

I saw a docu on this man. Apparently he was phony doctor. He was a convincing con ma for sure. In my opinion he was one of the scariest serial killers ever. Great video.

@@huddlpj there’s a lot of unintentional asmr videos out there that just don’t do it for me. They’re soft spoken but there’s no pauses and the pace is too fast.
