- This clip is going on 3 years old now which was initially uploaded on to my bird app account and am now deciding to upload it here. So enjoy it now, I guess. More clips on the way, too (maybe).
Yes, you can beat the entire game with the Emu. Also I like St. Anger. Fuck you.
Songs:
Metallica - Some Kind Of Monster
Green Velvet - Flash

I LIVE... AGAIN!
the comeback of the year
Holy shit midnight club 2 video in 2024
Hell yeah, man.
Veloci: i am the fastest car in MC2! Pretty sure no one can surpass my speed!
Emu: LEFT RIGHT, LEFT RIGHT, LEFT RIGHT, LEFT RIGHT, LEFT RIGHT1!!1!1!1!1!1!
HA HA THE BEST FINISH
Acctually, the Torque JX is the fastest car, by looking at the stats in the career mode car select, you can see that its slightly faster
@@RSMC15 with fishtailing every car is the fastest car
@@qinn1996 Sadly I was never able to do that, I played on PS2 and all my controllers were slightly slow. Always thought it would be fun though.
@@RSMC15I found that there has been someone doing this challenge on PC using a controller this year and got very far with it without altering the difficulty. Another guy also did the 5th Savo race using a Cocotte on a PS2 emulator. Both those guys used manual transmission.
Ah Flash by Green Velvet, listened to it a lot of times on Rise FM in GTA Liberty City Stories.
@@briefinggaming4045 Good ear. That's exactly where I first heard that song. :)
Fish tailing is the mechanic of all time
I cant even imagine all the emotions on that finish
@@phoenixsantos9190 All I could say was "Wow"
St Anger round my neck. He never gets respect… 🎶
Savo's sarcastic "Oh, I hope that works out for you" really sells it
RIP that Jetta
@@TACADD It's been through so much.
Despite being named Jetta at the game files, the model are too long, being more similar similar to the Passat.
I didn't know both "Jetta" and "Bora" versions existed.
@@leandro88888 Bora as the name of model on some countries.
@@Silva_GP Bora is very usual to see in Europe, Jetta is probably most seen in America.
I love that UA-cam has finally realized that I have never stopped playing and being interested in MCII. Among the best games of all time imo. Awesome that you beat Savo with Emu and crazy struggle in the end, haha!
I agree that it's one of the best games of all time. It never gets old for me, both gameplay and atmosphere wise. I've held this game so very close to me since childhood.
And yeah, that finish was wicked. And I already miss doing this challenge for the first time. The closer I got to the end, the more determined I was at beating the game with the Emu. Appreciate the words, man! :)
@@al3xgaming505 Same man, this game is a part of my life, I do a 100% run at least once a year.
Your video inspired me to challenge myself as well for the next run I do. Might try the Emu too since it can easily fishtail.
About ten years ago I saw a video on YT where someone beat Savo using the Cocotte, which is absolutely insane.
How did you pass Savo's first Paris race tho?
That video you saw who beat those races with the Cocotte was by a guy named Dreemax. The route he takes for the first Paris race has been a route I've been taking in every single one of my playthroughs (even the first time I beat this game on the PS2) What I also noticed is that higher framerate made my burnouts slower. So capping the framerate at 30 and also turning off V-sync for almost no delay certainly helps (if you have GeForce Control Panel, you can adjust those settings through there) After that, you just keep trying until you get it. It may take a while, but you'll eventually get it. Sometimes the AI (especially on the second Savo Paris race) has to mess up in a specific way, so certain races are a gamble.
It's really cool to see you felt inspired by my video as Dreemax's videos are what inspired me to do it along with a speedrunner by the name of finalaeon9. I watched Dreemax since I was a kid thinking I wouldn't be able to pull something off like that, but since then, kid me is screaming in excitement. lol
I wish you the best of luck on your run, man. :)

Now this is podracing!
"It's working! It's working!"
Dude I’m glad this game is still alive and well. This game is a true classic definitely load more MC2 content 🤙🏽
Now this is epic!!!
epic gamer
I've recently just started MC2, i always felt that the Emu looked cool but i immediately stopped using it after i got a cool red car from a South American dude
Peak gaming fr
that game was brutal
I love how everyone is going back and playing old racing games I literally have more fun playing midnight club 2, and 3 than playing forza horizon, the crew and even the new nfs games fucking suck compare to midnight club but thats just my opinion tho
I feel you, man. Those new racing games just don't hit the same. I never touched any new racing games. They all look like their sole purpose is to make money other than to just make a thrilling experience. Greed has killed passion.
My favorite cars game, so mythic, my little boy (5yo) love too, we just ride in Paris father and son it's so cool
I don’t remember being able to drift like that in this game 🤔
love this game
ah, now do the Cocotte challenge that Dreemax did YEARS ago, I believe in you !!!!!
I watched that guy when I was a kid. He is still the best I have ever fucking seen.
One day... maybe I will be worthy enough for the Cocotte...
The Emu challenge has paved the way for You my friend, someday I hope to see You attempt it :)
@@VelociJX I've got 3 more Savo race recordings and a bunch of all the Tokyo arcade races I'm waiting to upload. They'll prob be out soon.
And lately I've been thinking of attempting this again and getting the whole thing on recording this time. :)
That's why they stopped making car games
0:01 - 0:14 Me on NFS drift challenge (GBA).
2024 😮😮😮
EZ win
So I see you using speedrunning exploits n stuff, and still BARELY make it... how hard is this game?
@Hahnfruh Well, one thing to take note of is my mistakes. I made a few in this race which can be seen on the full version of this video which almost tremendously made me fall behind, and one that can be seen in this clip where I miscalculate my turn in that small tunnel. Another is the fact that I'm using an extremely slow car to challenge myself (The Emu, which is the 2nd car you unlock in the game). There is also the fact that this is around the time I really started to learn the fishtail technique (the speedrunning exploit) which was 3 years ago already, so I say I'm pretty alright, but not that good as I've seen people make less mistakes than me. But this game took me 10 years to finish when I first started playing this on the PS2 a long time ago (I played this since I was a kid lol), and even playing by normal means the game really is unforgiving with all the randomness it can throw in your face. So, in my opinion, this game does kind of hold its reputation of being the "Dark Souls" of racing games (Quake too if we throw the competitive online game types into the equation) The game starts out pretty easy at least, so there's that. But I can't imagine anybody being able to play this to the end for the very first time with little to no fails as you must know the layout of the map and races very well, growing familiar with the car or bike you're driving, and the overall randomness of the fast racer AI and traffic NPCs that can suddenly swerve into you on a freeway or t-bone you at an intersection. What's even more unforgiving (and this can apply to all Midnight Club games too as the AI never speeds up or slows down depending on your position in a race) is that the farther front a racer is in front of you, the fewer mistakes they will make since traffic AI will never spawn where they are and they can keep going as long nothing obstructs them, but even sometimes they recover quickly after hitting traffic, too. And lastly, changing the difficulty in this game requires you to enter a cheat code lol
0:19 What song is that?
