The song is about a girl that went missing in California and later found dead. Scott Weiland was also the lead singer of Velvet revolver ,he had the voice of an angel and so much talent. RIP Scott Dec.3,2015 . You left us too soon....

Juliet and Mia, this band is from San Diego and was one of the biggest bands (in case you don’t know this already) in the movement most popularly started by Nirvana in the early 90s called “grunge”. It was a musical rebellion against hair metal, bands like Motley Crue, Poison, Dokken and the like. Dress went from spandex to flannel shirts and jeans. Goodbye to hairspray for guys too. So that’s what you were looking at there. I agree, he’s a very good singer and they were a good band. Great reaction! I especially enjoyed Mia’s vocal hand diagram, it was spot on! :-)
Glad you liked this. A lot of people weren't too impressed by STP in the beginning, but they had a lot of really good songs, and lasted much longer than most of the Second Wave Of Grunge bands. I pulled out their Best Of album a couple of days ago, and was surprised once again how much I liked them.
You'd probably like Alice In Chains, Smashing Pumpkins and Bush - three great bands from about the same time and genre.
They weren’t really second wave. Bush, Silverchair were second wave.

Great band for their time. Was alot of great bands came from this era. STP, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Metallica was around alot long but they started to get their groove in this era. Meaning they started getting more radio time. Was hard to hide their greatness any longer :) I enjoy watching these videos with you girls thank you for sharing

Stone Temple Pilots were one of the great Seattle Grunge era bands of the 1990's along with Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, The Screaming Trees and more. Another cool STP song is called Insterstate Love Song and it is well worth your time!
When I was young, finding these songs for the first time, they affected me just like they do you. It makes me so happy to see the current generation experiencing those feelings too. Thanks!

This song is about a girl who was kidnapped and murdered...and using dogs to find her body. True story
yup, song writer was riding the bus or something and saw the news article or something like that.
It has a duel meaning. The fore mentioned dead 16 year old girl and a broken relationship that has his girlfriend going to bars, getting sniffed out by the dogs (guys) followed by the line, "does she smell alone".
Happened in upstate New York north of Albany. Cops were excited about finding her body, but at the same time they were horrified with what they'd find. Hence the line "when the dogs do find her, got time, time to wait for tomorrow, to find it".
You need to check out “Interstate Love Song” and “Vaseline”. And then maybe some Collective Soul. Maybe “Shine” or “Disciplined Breakdown”
This band actually got better as the years went by. Not many bands can make that claim. The Velvet Revolver, as the chat indicates, was totally awesome also. After he overdosed Chester from Linkin Park sang on one album, and it was OK but not as good as the regular STP. It was obvious that Chester was trying to imitate that beautiful voice, and although he had a great voice also, I feel like it did not translate well.
You two should check out Velvet revolver it Scott Wydin from STP and Members of Guns and Roses .

Great reaction...can't go wrong with STP pretty much everything in their catalog rocks sadly their great frontman Scott Weiland passed away a few years back...you should also check out Alice in Chains another great 90's grunge band with an amazing vocalist who was gone too soon

STP, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Janes Addiction....some of the best of the 90s!!! Crackerman by STP is great!! If you want vocals, none better than (the late) Chris Cornell from Soundgarden, and check him out on the song Say Hello to Heaven from Temple of the Dog. Most amazing vocals you’ll ever hear!!!

This album is true grunge. You might also like Velvet Revolver. They are lead singer of STP Scott Weiland with Slash, Duff and Matt from Guns N Roses. How can you go wrong. 2 of my fav band of all time. You also need to do some Guns N Roses. My fav band of all time. November Rain and Sweet Child O' Mine are 2 of the best songs ever.
If you like vocals.. Listen to Savage by Judas Priest. Really doubt you’ll find a live version of it. Rob Halford at 69 years of age can still put younger singers to shame!
