Wow! That song took me back a few years! Growing up my Step Dad was a big country and western fan. He would often play this song. Sadly he's been gone 29 years 😢.

My Dad departed 22yrs ago this year and he raised 3 kids on his own, he loved his country music Don Williams being one of his favourite artists. He used to listen to this song when he was down or lonely, so holds a special place in my heart. 🥲

Funny how songs bring back memories. Just reminiscing about the time we asked Dad for Choc- Ice and chips for tea and he duly obliged. Being a single parent he’d turn his hands to anything culinary wise and his homemade pies were legendary, in particular his Cheese & Onion pies. Oh how I wished I’d have watched him with a diligent eye as nothing even compares to it.
