- This secret idea is for dead Tv remote controller if u can’t find batteries for the Tv remote here is a simple trick to repair the controller in a pinch with a DIY battery I made using small lithium batteries for other gadget’s.
I hope you enjoy this simple fixing method!
Inventor 101 #secret #repair #howto
This looks so much more difficult than buying another battery
Exactly 😂 - video should be labeled Post-Apocalyptic device trick if you don’t have the actually correct sized batteries 🪫
So true
Buying battery on Amazon take 3 days
And making this = 1 hour
@@aswingamin0000 90% of people watching this have a Walmart within fart distance
"You won't pay for battery"
Still uses a battery
lol right?! 😆
And a more expensive one...
Since it's much easier to use 2 batteries and they will last at least twice as long, I think I'll just keep doing that 🤣
perfect for when you need to watch TV in the post apocalypse
And can't walk over to the tv!
@@mikegrand4181 Modern tv's often no longer have physical controls so you'll probably have this ask Alexa to control your tv. Somehow, I think the lack of a power grid will be a greater concern during an apocalypse as well as the lack of food.
Remotes need to become solar powered. Let's see a video on taking the solar panel from a calculator and using that to power a remote?
You know the little solar powered lights for gardens and walkways? Inside are usually AA rechargeable batteries. So you can cut the wires to the light and now you have a solar powered battery charger. Takes awhile but still free.
Actually a few Samsung tvs now have that. The remotes can be recharged via USBC or alternatively charged by a solar panel on the back of the remote
@@NoBop2000 About time. Lol
Is that remote eating the batteries? Every time he opens it it's missing the same battery
Or just trickle charge off your WiFi signal. University students have been able draw 5v but low amperage power from WiFi.
😂 Yeah. Replace those cheap alkaline AAA or AA with more expensive button batteries. Makes sense to me.
All about showing how and incase of emergency
🤣
And what do you think, how long this will last?
That's a little bit like, refueling your car half, and being happy about paying less!
You take away the half of charge and the half of voltage.
The charge doesn't really matter, but what actually happens is that as your the voltage decreases by using the remote, the battery won't be strong enough to use the rest of the remaining charge!
In the end you pay more, because you have ti change your battery more often than twice the time, more like 3to4 times!
Just do as provided! 😄
@tech star the technology meadia Hi! ^^

That's why the person only shows the remote working very close to the TV.
That's why he says, "repair the controller in a pinch". IOW when you don't have the right batteries. If you have the right ones, use them!
The way I see it is, yeah it's less power than the factory suggested, but it's good for when you are in a bind and you have the 'lesser' batteries at home. If you can't or don't want to leave home at the moment to replenish.
Great idea, it will last 1/20th of the regular time frame.
Ah yes, I'll just pull out a battery that I have never once bought in my life and literally don't know the name of along with shrink tubing, which I totally have.
In the time that took I drove to the store and bought a pack of the right size batteries.
Awesome video Inventor 101,you're an real genius, idol😉👌
That’s no genius
Just buy a battery...
Good vidéo 👍 MacGyver 😹🥳 tanks
Whichever batteries you use, you still have to pay for them
Why go from AA to button batteries?
And then to a pencil and then foil
He is showing us how many different ways there are to power the remote. Using LESS energy
It's for if you are in a pinch. Need batteries, but don't have any the right size.
I'm almost certain those small batteries cost more than the proper batteries.
Yes but they'll last longer.
Hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dont be cheap, just spent that one dollar on bateries.(saves you a lot of work)
How to burn your house down.
I’m going to buy the battery instead, but this was Still Cool af 👍👍
lovely stuff mate thanks heaps for the vid, love your work
Won't it last half as long since you only use one battery?
hiii
even less! 😅
because the voltage will decrease by useing the remote and if the voltage gets to low, the rest of the charge from the battery can't be used anymore because you need the the "pressure" to move the remaining electrons!
Hi! Didnt see anyone answer this question so I’ll take it upon myself. The answer is most likely YES! Batteries are rated in terms of Amp Hours which means how many amps can basically be pulls in an hour before depleting the battery. Generally with smaller batteries you have less amp hours. Of course there are some exceptions so it would really come down to the rating of the specific battery, but im betting it probably wont last as long.
Less
So the lesson here is buy an extra bulk pack of AAA to have on hand. Solid advice 👍

@techstarthetechnologymeadi3679 hi
Careful, I think the imbalance in charge could potentially start a fire. 🔋🔥🏡~🛐
It's worth it.

Ok ty
I’m willing to take that chance.
Sustainable Option: use your smartphone! Use a Remote App. Bye-bye batteries. Bye-bye remotes!... Bye-bye DIY hassle 😂
*Come to think of it, why the heck would something like a simple remote control need two AA batteries? Sound like the battery company paid them to make it that way. Just like the gas companies pay the automotive company to keep cars burning crazy amounts of gas.*
You are obviously genius

Rather than substituting button batteries, substitute either 14500 for AA, or for AAA, 10440 3.7 volt Li-Ion battery and use one of the dummy battery tip tricks, either the lead pencil or aluminum foil, for the other slot. Then you have a nice long lasting battery rechargeable get a decent charging system for your lithium ion batteries forget about worrying about keeping alkaline batteries for your remote, yes, you can recharge them with a special alkaline battery charger, but they'll eventually leak and damage your devices. Also, they don't have the power output or capacity of the Li-Ion.
Buy a charger for alkaline batteries. They've been around for years.
@@fredsmith9236
Of course, sure, I have used one for years. but they leak and make a mess inside the battery compartment. Besides, they don't hold a charge like the lithium battery does, or it's capacity and output. Tip: use baking soda, make a paste and use it to release the coating from leaking alkaline battery in your devices.
@@topc5826 As long as alkaline batteries outsell lithium batteries even the failed recharge attempts make them much more economical. Use vinegar to clean leakage.
Incredible.. This CHARGED my entire life..😂😂😂
Sarky basket ! :)
This is way too much work when you can put 2 new batteries in, but you definitely get a C, for creativity. keep it coming, bro. 🖖👍
Those batteries are harder to find and usually more expensive than t
AAA batteries and will last like 1/10 the time. Plus that sure is alot of trouble to go through to get a remote working. Between this or just using the buttons on the TV I will use the TV. But what I will actually do is go buy a 4pk of AAA batteries for a buck. Done problem solved
Be careful rigging batteries like this. It only takes one time accidentally dropping them in a bucket of gasoline near an open flame and you'll wish you hadn't...
- the obligatory overly cautious warning
So did your watch battery’s fal from the sky

what's the purpose of using the small batteries instead?
Jakby po włożeniu dwóch folii aluminiowych, bez użycia baterii ten pilot działał, to by było odkrycie. A tak to mamy sposób na awaryjne użycie pilota przez gospodynię domową.
The materials used and time spent would easily buy a box of batteries.
Nice video sir
This is your first comment!!
That's tight. Couldn't you just get up and turn the TV instead?
My tv remote control has the same set of batteries for 15 years now and they expired in 2016.
I have done your tricks 15 times and still nothing starts on my TV. Ok we saw it every time you do a cut scene and you start your TV. I believe after every cut scene, you place 2 batteries into the remote and start it, otherwise it never works.
That's a very good way to achieve more viewers to your content. Thank you.
ua-cam.com/video/VaJMZWBD7lg/v-deo.html
It works. You probably got the battery polarity wrong or used dead batteries. The buttons must be stacked positive to negative and the negative side of the bottom one contacts the spring. Stuff the rest with whatever you have that will fit and wrap it in foil like he did. The pos. & neg. sides of the batteries are marked and the voltage is stamped on the neg. side too. Make sure they're both marked 1.5V.
I once had an electronic camera flash unit that really ate batteries fast. I put dowel dummies in it and twisted wires around the shafts of the thumbtacks I stuck in the ends of the dowels that touched a neg & a pos contact. No need for foil because the dummies merely made contacts for the 2 wire cord that went to a lantern battery I kept in a fanny pack.
I saved a lot of money because lantern batteries are far cheaper per watt hour than AAs.
I think it's slightly easier to just......put a battery in?
Interesting, but it looks like a hack the Professor would have done on Gilligans Island. Just go buy some batteries - theyre so freakin inexpensive.
Button cell batteries cost more than AA batteries.
This has to be the best click bait I've seen since the first use of a European bathing suit toting woman thumbnail. Bravo.

Amazing videos..👍👍👍
I just use 18650s on everything.
Mind blowing
Should I just go ahead and quit my job while I’m at it?!! Pretty sure that my time is worth more than jimmyrigging batteries.
Interesting video none the less.
Just buy some cheap batteries, they work just fine.
i got more batteries in my home then pencils
SUPER
Just use 2 pieces of foil, your TV remote won't work, unplug your TV and go and do something else better instead.
Amazing
Assuming you have button batteries somewhere it's OK in a pinch.
Okay this is interesting, but how the fuck am I doing 1 hour work just to save 1$ for buying those batteries
Rather than doing first trick dont we buy another battery
Don't use a flame with the battery, please!
Changing batteries very quickly every time. The button batteries has very small capacity.
I think I can afford batteries at Ollies.
Such a great idea ! 💡💡
I will definitely try this out ❤
The same video is on the simple ideas youtube channel.

Don't those little batteries cost 10 x as much as AA bats? Geeze...
Also, graphite isn't a good conductor, aluminum foil in this instance isn't either and button cells typically cost more that AA or AAA cells and supply less current...ie, they'll go dead a lot faster. One more thing, dropping the voltage by using one battery instead of two will affect remote performance, if it works at all.
God, just buy the damn batteries. I think the engineers who developed the remote may know more than a You Tuber.
No offense...
Awesome! 😉👏👏
Your mother is mad
ua-cam.com/video/VaJMZWBD7lg/v-deo.html
The Super Bowl is over by then.
Those little batteries don't have near the amperage capacity of the full size AA or AAA batteries. In the long run you'll end up paying more for the little batteries and end up changing them more which will end up being a headache. But hey what do I know, look at all the people on here who think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Bunch of lemmings.
My remote still has a cord,
I wish I understood why this works?
De qué voltaje son las baterias?
Wthat voltage are the batteries?
Rechargeable, case close
This battery hack won't last long. You'll pay more for the button cell batteries and the shrink wrap. It's a good idea but the effects won't last long. I'd use a LiPo cell and a charger.
Jeez, just buy the correct batteries, it’s much simpler
Just replace triple a .. problem solved.. save trips to ER for being cheap lol
The ✏️ one how does that work? It’s just led and wood: no type of power coming from that/
I go cheaper, I don’t have television.
wow!!!!!!!!!!!😀
Неплохие временные решения, когда влом бежать за батарейкой и есть, чем поколхозить. Если добавить синей изоленты - будет дольше работать. )))

You can get 10 for £1 at Poundland 😂
Or I can just use my rechargeable batteries I have lots of 😂
Is that Fiber coil? It's more expensive than a battery.
I think I'll stick to buying batteries.
Could've just started with the foil trick.....
I just put direct mini solar panels on mine...I mean, I have to go outside to control the tv...and only in the day time...if it's sunny...but no more batteries for me

Get the new batteries 😂
The most id do is the last trick with the aluminium foil and that's only in the event it's 10pm, no store is open and there's no replacement batteries in the house. Nice video though.
Si va be' ma funziona con soli 1,5 volt ?
What's the name of the song playing anyone thanks in advance 👍🏼

How long they batteries last then 🤔
What we need is a really REALLY smart TV that responds to "hand gestures,"and "voice commands". Mind you, I dont think such a TV would survive the festive season here in Scotland. 😄 🏴 ✌🖕🤜💥 🤕

You know, there are such things as rechargeable batteries in AA or AAA sizes and they work just fine with remote controls, computer mice etc. And a recharge lasts much longer than any of your time-consuming ineffective contraptions.
This video should be called.. Three ways to use incorrect batteries and maybe burn down your house.
