That was a brilliant honest cover of the most under rated song on the Beatles album, George Harrison really came into his own with this song, i remember first hearing this in the 70's i thought it was John singing, to me i think their voices are similar, in an interview George said he looked up to John and asked his advice on songwriting, (if you start writing a song try to finish it the same day you are writing it) i get that as your mood can change, damn good advice, i thank my parents for introducing me to great music, my Mother was a Mod (she rode a Lambretta LI 175) and my Father, i suppose you could call him a Rocker (He rode an old sloper, a Panther) they met and married within 2 weeks of meeting and stayed married until her death, he was 19 and she was 21, no one thought it would last but it did, she was also engaged to be married to a long term boyfriend and they were together for 3 years, i met him once and he was a lovely guy and held no bad feelings, i also knew his Children, they were and are decent people, i know now what she saw in him, my Uncle told me years later when i was an adult that he was devastated at the time and it caused so much friction among friends and family that only her Father, my uncle (Her Brother) and a friend were at the Wedding, this song reminds me of her as she played this album a lot, was a huge Beatles fan and was lucky enough to see them perform live at Weston Super Mare Playhouse, they were there from Monday, 22 July to Saturday, 27 July 1963, i don't know what day she saw them but she did get all their autographs, i didn't mean to write a family history when i started commenting i just couldn't stop, again, a fantastic cover of a fantastic song, you really did it justice, well done, it's great to see younger folk listening and playing to what is now 50 years plus music.

If you are interested, the remixed remastered version brings up the levels, it took me a long time to obtain original Beatles records and then i had to get the CD's and now the re released anniversary versions, the expense of it all! but it is worth it, if you do buy, get the anniversary versions as they have the old and new recordings so you can hear what was actually done, and it is released with the backing of the Beatles and the Beatles estates.
This is one of my favourites on the white album, I read John Lennon's mates book Pete Shotton In my live and some of the stories about George Harrison had me in stitches, 😅George was very funny, I'm going to learn this one on me acoustic John Lennon 70th anniversary Gibson J160e, you nailed it once again brilliant 👏👍
