- In this video I install the Newton Commercial interior trim package into this Morris Cooper S mk1 mini. It took about 4 weeks for the trim to arrive as they make all products to order. International postage to Australia takes about a week.

Thanks for this vid. The tips and tricks are going to be very useful as I am just about to fit a Newton Commercial interior to my '68 mini.
It's also worth saying that to Newton Commecial's credit, last year they turned much of their production facilities round in a short time to start producing PPE when it was in such short supply for health workers working on the Covid front line.
Really great 'How To' videos. Sadly I only caught up with you 2 years late!
Just worth mentioning that Aussie MK I Minis had quarter lights and wind up windows whereas the UK and other market Mk Is had sliding windows. I have used Newtons for some time (now doing a '78 Mk IV) and found them to be 100% but maybe they just let that hole slip past QC. But overall that interior looks superb. On later Minis the lock release mechanism had slots for the screws so maybe the handle mechanism could have been slid back to help?
Brilliant. I need to fix new dash liners any day now as I have removed the full width dash the Min came with. I had an inkling how to do it but it`s nice to see how you went about it. Good luck with your lovely car.
I found your youtube articles yesterday so I'm working my way through slowly under quarentine. Great work. I think that there is meant to be tape over the holes in the door inner skin so that water running down inside the door doesn't dissolve the door cards. The interior of yours looks very nice. The back seat on mine has a cigarette burn circa 1965. Three ash trays and two seatbelts gives an idea of priorities back then. Dave D
Thank you sir for a great how to video. My next job is to put the dash shelf liner and speedo panel in.The shelf liner doesn't seem to hard but the speedo panel with the heater vents in the way looks a bit more difficult
It's not too hard, but just take it easy take your time and don't rush because the cardboard backing can be easily damaged and creased.
