Hey I remember a video where you mentioned you were implementing an outreach program to help educate women on pelvic health rehab and how it can help them. Anyway I am a current PT student in NYS and need to complete a community outreach project (it can be existing or new). I vaguely remember you saying that you had hopes other cities would use your model to help grow this speciality. Anyway I’m hoping we can talk about this further. If not for my project, I am still interested in hearing about the details as I am going to specialize in pelvic health as well!
Hi. I have a question. Can Physical therapist Assistants get sued for malpractice or negligence if, for example they're moving/transferring a patient and the patient accidentally falls to the floor and gets injured? And if the answer is yes, do PTAs need to have insurance to protect themselves in case something like that happens? I thought PTAs couldn't get sued because they work under the supervision of a physical therapy doctor, but I learned that other medical workers such as medical assistants or nurses can be sued even though they work under the supervision of a physician so I was wondering if it's the same for PTAs. I'm trying to see if this would be a good career option for a small person because accidents could happen while trying to transfer patients. Any idea of how that works? Thank you!
PTAs can still be sued! As long as the task delegated to them by the PT is within their scope, the liability then falls on the PTA. law suits arent too common in PT though so dont let that stop you from entering the profession!
i know this is a year ago, but this is my dream job! thanks for the inspiration girly!
of course, best of luck to you!
Yayyy first to comment 💕💕💕great video babes!
