For a almost 2 tons car that dosnt cost a house and needs only intercooler and a downpipe to pull 5 secs to 60 like e46 m3 man u can even put whole family in and drive...I am really impressed
If you were to have an EWG turbo then it would be even faster, but keep in mind with these 6 cylinder engines that the weight has a bigger difference than a v8 for example.
Great video! About to go with the rvg downpipe myself! I have the XHP transmission tune, highly recommend it, you will feel the difference big time! You can also customize the launch control in it as well. You can also limit power by gear in MHD, helps off the line for us rwd guys.
I'm late to watching but I believe the concensus is, you did an awesome job making the video. Love the German made comment too. Got my F150 and My BMW F10. Got the XDrive, it hooks out the hole 4.72 0-60, with cold air, downpipe, intercooler , and JB4. It just got cold in Narcoossee, last day in Florida.
Very informative review! Definitely give the wireless mhd adapter a try much quicker flashes. Initial flash took less than 3.5 minutes. After that flashing to next stages takes seconds!
Just a heads up guys if you plan on doing your downpipe install yourself. 1) vand clamp will likely give you hell. 2) exhaust bracket bolt will mostly be rusted shut. These will more than likely be your biggest issues. I used a smaller jack to support the downpipe to aline properly with turbo so the vband clamp can fit flush. You will have to feel around and make sure the vband clamp is around both turbo and downpipe or you will have fitment issues. The the rusted bolts, my best advice but if you have a better plan just cut and replace. Buy a new vband, turbo gasket, & downpipe clamp just to have on stand by. You don’t have to replace all but it’s good to do so
Thanks for your videos and channel. I was thinking on getting intercooler or not on the 2015 bmw x5 35d (commented on your other video). Diesels run hot and it's sluggish on the top end, hopefully it helps. Been looking on the market for one, i think the all fit the f15 models are interchangeable either engine wise. You should start making more videos again. I'm subscribed!
this was awesome dude! I basically have the same car as you but on E30 and variable mufflers. Have you upgraded spark plugs and coils yet? That also is a noticeable difference if you're still running the original stuff. Also I had a huge improvement in traction going from the Sumitomos that were on it from the previous owner, to Continental DWS06s (I can't do summer tires because I do get snow in the winters here, so I have to use all seasons). The Contis are great. I can still light up the rear tires on 1st. But the old Sumitomos would spin into 3rd gear. So that's something you should definitely look into. Keep up the great work and thank you for sharing!
hey, I have stock coils, but installed 1 step colder spark plugs gapped to 0.022. Thanks for the tire suggestion. I plant to do a transmission tune to see if I can eliminate the wheel spin. If not I will start looking at different tires.
I have the same problem with snow in Ohio, I went with Michelin pilot sport as3’s huge difference, I still break traction in 1st but it hooks nice after 10-20mph
Man, thanks a lot for this so informative video! Keep going with the reviews! P.S. What is the mileage of your car? Are there any faults before/after tune?

Also, before tuning did you have any throttle delay issues when taking off from start? I have a F07 2010 535i and I get a 1 second delay from foot down to anything much happening.
Im not sure which channel it was now but some younger guys were tuning an N55 and showed a link in their description for a Throttle Response Controller. A TRC will take care of that lag for you for $100-$150.USD.

The intercooler made a big difference to me since I live in Florida and it gets very hot. If you get the super license you can install it without the intercooler. Go stage 2 since you have the downpipe, will feel night and day vs stock. The IC is a tight fit and I would suggest to get a friend to help if you do it yourself. Once you install that go Stage 2+, or try the E85 map if you want to go faster.
I have a 2011 E92 335i. So same motor, different transmission. It looked like you have the ZF8 speed and no xDrive? I would get XHP transmission flash immediately. Well worth the money for overall performance gain. I would also look into an LSD. Even bone stock I was having trouble with wheel spin. LSD helped that a lot, still get spin though in 1-3 when going WOT, even just at stage 0 MHD. But at least with an LSD you will be getting some power to the wheels in most situations. BMW loves to badge and price gate, its borderline criminal that almost all N54/N55 cars come with open diffs.
my F16 BMW X6 35i N55 motor has a stage 2 tune by dme tuning. I didnt do any bolt ons. I was able to get 4.66 sec 0-60MPH and the quarter mile at 101.17MPH in 13.16 sec using dragy
The mystery is in hooking up from 0 to 60 makes no difference how much power you put down My stock n55 35i 2011 manual shifting can go 060 and 5 flat seconds I get very little tire spin because it's on traction control So like the old days there's got to be a way to set up the rear and make it grab first flaw is LSD is a must then be able to make the tires plant that's worth more than putting horsepower or torque into the vehicle after stage 2 someone has got to figure this out eventually

And using the MHD anti lag from a dig is a no go completely. I do run e30 and put out 400hp and about 480tq if the tires can actually catch though. I am super excited to get the FMIC and go stage 2+. Hey Isaac, on the trip menu the mpg is almost the same, but with me what I noticed now that I am stage 2+ I do not drive it like I used to do when it was stock. You get to like the extra power and go fast when you have the chance lol, therefore you will consume more gas, but if you drive it normal there shouldn't be any big difference. That's what I told myself, drive slow, and then somebody with a 2.0 Volkswagen tries to race you and you have to show them what the BMW does haha. The only difference would be the more responsive acceleration from the full stop.
I clicked the link for the RVG Downpipe and I got a warning that the link you provided goes to a website that is mimicking the real website and will steal your personal data and financial information
The thing with 550i is that I am scared of its problems, would definitely stay away from a N63 engine (2011-2013), the N63TU is more reliable but haven't seen one with high mileage yet (150k+). On the other hand I have seen N55 close to 200k miles still running like they should, so hence the reliability. With the pure turbo you will definitely put more wear into the components and I wouldn't push it beyond 500hp, also need torque limiter since the extra torque is going to screw up the transmission (haven't tried it but advice from a bmw mechanic friend that mods his own cars).
@@F10RIDAN55 true.....but is it as reliable?....plus...nobody would ever suspect a 535i xdrive rolling hard like that.....hell it has the power to make even a 13 M5 look and get shook from how it pulls....and the best part bout it is ....its a 6
Hi. Were the BMW F 10, F11 produced in the USA ??? And does the BWW F10 you present drive in the USA ??? Is it possible to meet the BMW F11 on the roads in the USA ???
I have a 2015 535i Xdrive and have similar setup except the RVG downpipe is catted high flow. What are/were you using for coils/spark plugs? Do/Did you have anti-lag enabled on your Stage 2+ tune?
no, I didn't have the anti-lag, didn't want to mess with that. The coils were the OEMs, I believe delphis, and the spark plugs I used the ngk one step colder. However on the spark plugs I used the usual bosch that you find on the 550i and 750i and didn't see a difference, so I would stick with the bosch since they are way cheaper than the ngk.
I flashed stage 2+ today and didn’t notice much of a difference between this and stage 1. How did you feel between the differences? Do you think maybe it will change with more drive cycles? Car is running perfectly fine
what were those lights that came on the dash board ? i have a f10 (2012 535i xdrive) and i’m currently upgrading the car to stage 2+. does the MHD tune make lights come up on the dash board while ur driving?
how was the tune ? I have 2013 535 xdrive and was debating if i should do the tune ! I know my 0-60 would be around 4.8 because the awd so would it be worth it ?
I have 3 questions. 1. When you went back to stock and you said it felt “slow” do you mean like the stock map feels like it was purposely underpowered by this company or just because you got used to the power at the other stages? 2. When you tune the ecu is it gonna have the check engine light on? 3. Do you have to pay separately for each stage? Good video! I might upload some of mine too.
to answer 2/3 question, the tune will not give any error codes or cel. if you have a catless down pipe it will actually get rid of the check engine light for you. 2nd you can buy all of the maps and the monitoring seperate or can buy them all together in one bundle. like he said in the video its like 500+ for everything or you can just buy the stage you plan on going if you dont need to switch back and forth. they sell stage 1/1+ together and stages 2/2+ together so there is just 2 map packs to buy.
Sorry for my very late reply. Haven't had the time to check since I started working on my business but to answer your questions: 1. Stock map on MHD is pretty much how the car was at stock except the MHD software stays installed on your car's ECU. 2. No check engine light when you tune. No check engine light when you remove the catalytic converter. If you change downpipe without a tune you will have a check engine light. 3. Best bet is to get the super license around $550 especially if you want to experiment. If your goal is to do all the mods then you can jump straight to Stage 2+, but I believe it's best to get all the stages + monitoring to see the values if you have any problem.
Ive just got intercooler installed too, that thing really makes a difference in performance, what’s your set ups in power by gear ? If you lower it then top power will be increased, it is perfect to set up between 40-60 if you want more power on high rpm
I had to replace the water pump and the high pressure fuel pump after a while. I don't think water pump was because of the stage since most BMWs need the water pump replaced close to 100k miles.
For a almost 2 tons car that dosnt cost a house and needs only intercooler and a downpipe to pull 5 secs to 60 like e46 m3 man u can even put whole family in and drive...I am really impressed

Finally what was your 1/4 mile stage 2+ FBO?
about 13.4 but that wasn't accurate enough since I had wheel spin
Damn fbo stage 2+ almost fast like the f10 550i but around 100mph the 550i keeps pulling
Pure turbo stage 1 will stop all of that
@@hassantalib3426 😂 until the 550i gets an upgraded turbo too or on meth
The thing with 550i is that I am scared of its problems, would definitely stay away from a N63 engine (2011-2013), the N63TU is more reliable but haven't seen one with high mileage yet (150k+). On the other hand I have seen N55 close to 200k miles still running like they should, so hence the reliability. With the pure turbo you will definitely put more wear into the components and I wouldn't push it beyond 500hp, also need torque limiter since the extra torque is going to screw up the transmission (haven't tried it but advice from a bmw mechanic friend that mods his own cars).
@@F10RIDAN55 true.....but is it as reliable?....plus...nobody would ever suspect a 535i xdrive rolling hard like that.....hell it has the power to make even a 13 M5 look and get shook from how it pulls....and the best part bout it is ....its a 6
@@F10RIDAN55 by than the 550 will explode the worst ever made by bmw 💯🤘🏼
Sounds like your intercooler got rid of knocks completely
I’m confused. Is the lci 535i faster? Mine is stock and makes these numbers.
@@DWillz250 of course it is, different turbo, yours will make way better numbers with a stage
Can you tell me the tyre dimensions? I m running stage 1 with 275 30 r20 and the best time i got in a 1/4 mile was 14.00. Awesome video BTW.
Thank you! Rear is 275 35 r19 front is 245 30 (not 100% sure either 30 or 35) r19
Hi. Were the BMW F 10, F11 produced in the USA ??? And does the BWW F10 you present drive in the USA ???
Is it possible to meet the BMW F11 on the roads in the USA ???
I haven't seen any F11 here in Florida. Not sure where they are produced.
I was wondering if the pwg 2011 535i actually has 400 horse power on the dyno.
I don't think so
Give us a dyno video!!
How did u get sports display
if your car is not showing sports display at all, you need to code it with Bimmercode (app on your phone) and a bluetooth adapter.
Have found any upgraded piping from turbo to intercooler and charge pipe to intercooler
Evolution raceworks
haven't looked into that yet
I definitely noticed more difference, not the same difference as from stock to stage 1 though
Hey guys, just got a 2014 f10 535i (msport). any recommendations on stuff that i should get first?
go stage 1. big difference. Need to replace chargepipe before doing it though.
When I tuned mine to stage 2+ it gave me 480hp and 560torque
Will this make yhe car less effiency ?
What year is it and where do you read 480 hp? If you read it on the screen of the car that is probably wrong.
@@fast-life lol my screen changed because of the tune it's definately pushing 480 I got a 2014 535i fbo
i have the same car but xdrive. i heard that xdrive loses power compared to rwd. will my numbers be lower than these?
your 0-60 times will be much better. the xdrive loses on the long run but not by much
How much hp do you have with stock? I have only 260hp on my 535xi f10 :/
stock bmw says 300hp
Which tyres do you have and what size? I have michelin ps4s and have never had a tyre spinning
I had 275 on the rear. The problem is that I shipped the car from US to Europe, and the asphalt in EU is not the same therefore the wheels spinning.
what were those lights that came on the dash board ? i have a f10 (2012 535i xdrive) and i’m currently upgrading the car to stage 2+. does the MHD tune make lights come up on the dash board while ur driving?
No that was a problem with my adaptive lights that existed before MHD.
how was the tune ? I have 2013 535 xdrive and was debating if i should do the tune ! I know my 0-60 would be around 4.8 because the awd so would it be worth it ?
let it goo to max 7k don't shift so early and it will go faster
You lose boost after 6000 rpm.
How was long term reliability
I got 65k miles in on mine running stage 1 and Im thinking going stve 2+ i just worried about geting break fast
Do you update your soft ware to see your car
not sure what you mean by software
@@joemiller4849 Looks like I’m ready to start modding my 535i then, thank you!
Sorry for my very late reply. Haven't had the time to check since I started working on my business but to answer your questions:
Did you notice any performance gain with intercooler ?
Mine did faster pull with intercooler.
Ive just got intercooler installed too, that thing really makes a difference in performance, what’s your set ups in power by gear ? If you lower it then top power will be increased, it is perfect to set up between 40-60 if you want more power on high rpm
How was the reliability for you over the last year? Thinking about going to stage 2 but want to keep it reliable as it’s my daily
I had to replace the water pump and the high pressure fuel pump after a while. I don't think water pump was because of the stage since most BMWs need the water pump replaced close to 100k miles.
@@fast-life yeah my 535i is unmodded and at 105k and i had to replace mine anyways
sry but my 320i lci stage 1 go 4.9
