Hope Otmar gets to run a team again. You can feel he's genuinely cares about drivers. He's a bit of a control freak when it comes to the team itself, but hey, to each their own and his control freakness doesn't seem to be detrimental.
He’s not going to run an f1 team again. He’s too nice and makes too many bad decisions. Not knowing what happened to Riccardo…really? He sucked for like the three previous years prior to RB finally moving him along.
The thing I find ironic about Formula One is, the teams pick a driver they preference and give him everything at the detriment of his teammate, but they will also toss aside to teammate for not being good enough, when all that’s happening is this person is being less valued than the main Guy, and often when he gets a chance of winning, he’s told to cool it so the main man can take the limelight, of course that’s going to break some drivers, and then the team uses the fact that the second driver hasn’t won anything and isn’t doing well enough as a reason to get rid of them. Seems like a self fulfilling prophecy. You can’t win anything when your team won’t let you win anything, and then they want to use the fact that you haven’t won anything in your career as a reason to end your career.
it is something folks need to think about more.. I love the perspective. because that is what they are.. a high tech areocentric vehicle company like Boeing or Airbus but with much shorter timelines...

Danny was his own worst enemy, if he could have checked his ego, no telling where he would have ended up. He seemed to glory in the charactered himself, leaving no room for the Driver.
Not sure I can agree with that last part, having a degree doesn’t always mean you know more, in theory sure based on calculations and on simulation you can say you know, but the driver is the one who can give you real feelings feedback and if that is dismissed then your product is worth shit. I know because I’m in construction and I’m a structural engineer, now I may know how to make a concept and know for a fact is needed to make a project, but my right hand is and will always be my superintendent on site, he may not have a degree, but he has what I don’t, and that is extensive on site field knowledge, I can come with ways to make something but if it doesn’t work in application then I listen and adapt and make it better. There’s a reason why he ain’t in F1 no more, and I think it’s that mentality.
Of course the people with the degrees know more, they don’t get the drivers to run the CFD. He was saying it’s a team and they work together based on everyone’s strengths, eg the thing with Rubens tyre movement
It doesn't need to be said, we all know who he wouldn't want to work with again haha!!! "....lets see....he's the oldest....." Yeah, Oldest on the grid today! but nice maneuver! Reubins? Right, I get that.
F1 drivers knows performance is evaluated every moment. Success just reduces that risk. This is why Lewis bailed to ferrai. He knows he isnt worth what mercedes are paying. Ricciardo knew. Tge one tgat puzzles me is checko. If he isnt sacked horner should be. Same as lawson knew his write off was his last drive. He knew before he left the wreck.
The value is not in winning but is actually tied to how much money the driver comes with. We have seen how untalented you can be but still find yourself employed as a subpar driver.
alpine had a monumental downfall after he got sacked. if the board gave him the time and respect he deserves the team wouldnt be in the position they are in today.
@@DhairyaPatel-ib7lz I was only joking tbh..he seems reasonable but when a few teams have given him the flick I get suspicious. But that being said alpine have been making bad decisions since they before they were called alpine. But he has done some things that make me think he’s a stand up guy
Form has momentum. He's getting slower every year and everybody knows it. Ocon and Hulkenberg are both consistently mid, which is optimal for a midfield team.

You weren't wrong, Colopinto has binned a few cars already
Miss this guy in F1. Hope he comes back. Very articulate.
Why is the mute guy who's holding the book sitting there? Did he win a competition or something?
I could listen to that guy all day.
"It's a meritocracy" - coming from a man who worked for the Strolls.
I came here to post this XD

Mazepin feels left out
That's perhaps part of his decision to leave. 🤷♂️

Still don’t get why they fired Otmar.
For the same reason they are now running Mercedes engines. French companies do the opposite of the logical decision.

It's a French thing, you wouldn't understand.

Why are there random 15 seconds in the intro ? Those parts are later in the video already so why have that pointless filler ?
