God Bless All you Guys and Garth! "The Band have Left The Planet...5 of the most influential musicians the world has ever seen, and I miss them All deeply!!
Little Bessie preatty sad, Cripple Creek cover by mist. The pure smile of Mr Hudson is gone 'till Ontario lake return to frozen times. Master Garth: thanks for your refinement.❤(from Jujuy, Argentina)
And he was called "The Mad Scientist" by Robbie, Levon, and Rick Danko. They were all interviewed and quoted saying this, although Richard Manual agreed, I couldn't find him saying it, but the Hawk called him that too!!
Before The Hawks, he played with Paul London and the Capers. He joined The Hawks in 1962. He was absolutely the greatest instrumentalist ever to play R & R. I saw many rock organists Billy Preston, Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman but Garth was the only one who played the foot pedals. He played the whole instrument God bless Garth and all the Band. You will be missed but always remembered.
RIP Garth. You understood the organ is the most misunderstood great instrument that can play more genres of music than any other instrument. My dad introduced me to the Band and they were the first concert I went to when I got to college in 1972. I saw them several more times including with Dylan in Madison Square Garden. Still my favorite band
Dear Scotty, You just might be onto something. What about North Americana? Yes, 4 of the 5 Band members were Canadian but Robbie talks about going to New Orleans to soak up some music and culture. Levon, the lone American, also made significant contributions drawing on his Arkansas influences. Whatever we decide, the Band was an unbelievable influence on all who heard the group.

A fellow Canadian of whom I had immense respect for 😊
Met him briefly once in the mid-1980s in Sacramento, where he was backing accordionist Jo-El Sonnier. Great keyboardist, solid player and personality.
❤
All of the Band were multi instrumentalists except for the drummer. A Band of geniuses.
Helm used to play guitar & banjo, don't forget please. (from Jujuy, Argentina)
Also mandolin@@ClaudioGabrielSalgado-qt5ee
Americana? More like Canadiana.
