The 74 or 75, etc, they just wanted to make a big-ish deal out of the show continuing into the next year. The PM version was an attempt to cash in on the popularity of the daytime version by syndicating a PM version that aired in the early evening. Where I grew up, it was right before the evening news.
No, this was the fourth ep. off the first season in 1975, IIRC.

What about crab cakes, crab soup, or crab legs. But then again I'm from Maryland by the Chesapeake Bay, the home of the greatest crabs on Earth. So most of the people would know nothing about that

How is mother a good answer that the crowd cheers? I've heard them boo good answers before but nvr cheer a bad one. If a guy is 102 years old, his mother has to be in her 120's or 130's. That's a horrible answer, jmo
