This PM show is still one of my favorites and often wonder how Vicky Burton look today!! And on the other hand, so sad sad , BS, CNR,BF and of course, RD all gone.
Could you imagine Charles Nelson Reilly AND Paul Lynde on this show? There would be no time for the questions because the laughing from their naughty answers would go on too long.
Vicky is absolutely beautiful, but only one in a looong line of gorgeous contestants. I believe that match game 70s has to hold the record for stunning beauties
It's great to see Bill Anderson and Bonnie Franklin as panelists. No one mentioned what Fannie Flagg was wearing. Brett and Charles making fun of each other is funny as usual. Finally, Richard helps a contestant win $10,000.
_____________ President made that contestant happy. She chose "Vice", and Richard Dawson matched her, & won $10,000. CBS has a limit of $25,000. I don't know if CBS still has that limitation.
Seems on MG PM that they have the person who is ahead go first in the 2nd round in order to stretch the time to fill the half hour slot. Too bad the PM show wasn't like the MG 7X shows where they just continue each show from where they left off on the last show.
The PM version always had three rounds. The show had two contestants, three rounds, two audience matches and one star wheel. The show was self contained, meaning each show wrapped up in 21 minutes. Then the next show started over fresh with new contestants - no carry over from one show to another.
+George Master This was about 7 months before the the premiere of "Family Feud" in July 1976. Richard Dawson continued appearing on "Matchgame" for about a year and a half after he started hosting "Family Feud."
You asked this 4 years ago but apparently yes because Gene made reference to this on another episode when a contestant said "I have a son named Chad who I was told I can't say Hi to," and Gene responded that it was against FCC guidelines.
No the they were serious, did you notice they always go on to say hello to whomever? They could say where they were employed but saying hi or wishing someone happy birthday always brought out Gene's response then they go ahead and do it.
Brett was so catty (cat screeching)
Bill Anderson seems like a genuinely nice guy.
"How you gonna dance with him if you bite his leg off, Vicky?" Oh I dunno, maybe it's a SOCK HOP!
Gosh I need sleep.
best intro ever, richard and fannie, ham and eggs.
there's always kids in the audience, i love hearing them laugh at the antics.
best game show ever.
This PM show is still one of my favorites and often wonder how Vicky Burton look today!! And on the other hand, so sad sad , BS, CNR,BF and of course, RD all gone.
And Gene!
I like Fanny's "fried eggs".
RIP Bonnie Franklin
We remember those celebrities on "Match Game".
Could you imagine Charles Nelson Reilly AND Paul Lynde on this show? There would be no time for the questions because the laughing from their naughty answers would go on too long.
Agreed. W/P.L.'s voice, just a word alone is enough to crack up.
The show would have to be an hour long, just for the laughs.
Those two jealous queens would kill each other before the first taping was over.

Speaking of Bill Anderson, He was the Host of a Game Show called "Fandango" in the 80's.

I think Elmer was one of the best contestants with the best sense of humour that I’ve ever seen on this show.
Starting with Episode 40 (Pat Morita, BS, CNR, Lee Meriwether, RD, and PD)
Elmer and Vicki were cute. Fannie did her best Paul Lynde at 5:49. At the dentist question there was different interlude music.
Vickie reminded me of Mandy Moore from This Is Us.
God what a rude remark from Brett about the lady being "plain!).
Oh sarcasm?
Cat noises.
That remark was very rude. I guess was feeling threatened. It wasn't called for.
Fannie Flagg and Bill Anderson are the only ones still alive.
That Perrywinkle/18-year-old question had way too many possibilities, didn't it now? I
_____________ President made that contestant happy. She chose "Vice", and Richard Dawson matched her, & won $10,000. CBS has a limit of $25,000. I don't know if CBS still has that limitation.
It was a syndicated show, which accounted for the set top amount. And no, there is no limit on winnings now.
A wonderful time when no one was offended.
he wants to say hi to red and dot, and gene says he can't do that, guess what!? he already did! lol
I wish I could = I can't! Both means nothing possible anymore. 😡
Aw, it's really too bad elmer didn't match anyone with that fantastically funny answer, stupid stingy judges!
what's with that think music at 12:46? never heard that one before.
They tried this with the daytime run, too, but it didn't last long...Not a fan of it myself as the pace is too slow...
I think Richard liked her. He was asking if her old man was there, and Where was her Husband ? Richard liked petite Woman.

I think because PM was syndicated the format had to be changed
crissrudd4554 oh I see...meaning they might not show the program in a particular order, I guess?
Yeah kinda. PM begins and ends the same each episode where the daytime version could begin at any point in the game.
When did they start having three rounds?

Was Family Feud on at this time?
+George Master Feud started in '76 so it's possible. Depends on what month this episode was filmed in.

Were they serious that a contestant couldn't say "hi" to anyone?

______________ PRESIDENT. Besides EX-, MR. or VICE, what else gang?
+Sjsuman5000 Class, former
Bank.
I'd like to request an order of Fannie, sunny side up!
*Yes, I know she's lesbian and it's 42 years later. Humor me!*
I'll take those fried eggs over her "Fried Green Tomatoes" any day!
Vickie!
OMG she died last month. Such a sweet woman
1:52. i'm majoring in fishing? golf. ok. lemme guess. were you almost deemed worthy to earn a masters degree in eating crayons? by any chance?
