The in-depth explanations are extremely helpful. Please keep offering them-if a person doesn’t want to hear them they can jump ahead. I also appreciate that you don’t assume a person can even lift their leg without help. Everyone else starts their exercises assuming that. Yours are the first out of dozens of videos I’ve watched that say it’s ok to use your hands to help if you need to-that it’s still effective. Thank you. I have a little bit of hope again.
The most helpful video for me too, much as I appreciate help from others. I was so close to paying for a therapist 🙄 Thank you Doc best Christmas present 👍 Lunging as I write this xx
So relieved to find this, honestly my life has been 💩 for years I can actually do this without agony Even while at work occasionally What a fantastic job you have Thanks mate xx
Very many thanks indeed Dr Candy for a brilliant video. I need to get mine stronger to help with my thighs, Your exercises look great for both. Much appreciated
I can still do the other exercises but with arthritis I'm afraid to try this. Maybe an update with how to do it with a cane. Actually I'd love to see vids for ppl that use a cane.
With a cane, it's probably easiest to balance if your do it with the cane in the opposite hand as the front foot, and keep your feet spread a little wider apart in the side-to-side direction. This makes a wider base of support to help with balance. Interesting that you should mention that as there's actually a video coming out later today for people who are afraid to do squats or lunges due to arthritis or balance problems. Here's the link to it, although it won't premier for another 5 hours or so after this comment: ua-cam.com/video/8beYP8qkY28/v-deo.html
Thanks for posting this vid. Trying to improve my glutes because of hip pain (per my PT I'm weak in the back of the hip and using my front hip muscles too much). Is it best to wear shoes when doing these exercises?

It will be easier with shoes as far as balance, but you can do it either way.
