I made a more basic introduction to Skew T, Log-P diagrams for meteorological analysis that might be helpful for beginners to watch before diving into this video. It can be viewed here: ua-cam.com/video/7p7c85hhgOo/v-deo.html
Patrick! You produced a great video clarifying the basic principles and how the five lines on the graph illustrate atmospheric tendencies. For all who have question marks in their heads or are struggling to put together this Wx info, above, skip over to Patrick’s video to reinforce how all this stuff works, then move on to the next video in this series. Thanks, Patrick!
It is likely the parcel path. On this Skew T (see the link below) for example, the yellow line is the path that the rising air parcel takes as it ascends. The parcel path follows the dry adiabatic lapse rate until the LCL and then follows the moist adiabatic lapse rate thereafter. vortex.plymouth.edu/cgi-bin/upa/gen-raobplt.cgi?id=KOKX&pl=skewt&cu=la&pt=parcel&size=640x480&pg=web
@@yodingdongyo the bare basics are. To fully understand is a bit beyond freshman. But being so incredibly smart Jim, I am sure it is elementary for you

Yeah. That was perfect for a beginner. Just watched it today. Studying for a Glider pilot exam
Great useful stuff directly from the master! Thank you.
im trying to know what this yellow dotted line is on a skew-t chart please help me

Send me a link to the Skew T and I'll probably be able to help you with it.

i cant find it i will find it later
I would hardly call this "basic"
It's very much first or second semester freshman year meteorology

.....so is it going to rain tomorrow??
thanks for this clearly leason
As is, the graphics are unreadable. Resubmit it with graphics captured from a computer screen.
