- I was searching for a secret Sentosa cave shrine, but found this instead!
Located at the westernmost tip of Sentosa Island, Tanjong Rimau is in the last remaining undeveloped coastline of Sentosa Island. Legend has it that when the water is calm, tide is low, the lucky ones will be able to find a secret cave shrine along that Sentosa coastal line!

Underrated. Mad respect to this guy, not only does he put out links to info and research in the description, he even helped throw the bottles. Just a suggestion, maybe fly the drone higher to get a birds eye view of the place. Great video!
Thanks for the compliments, it is compliments like yours that keep me going! 😄🤝 Also thanks for the drone tips, I will try flying higher next time. In this video, I still have room to go 12m higher before reaching the height restriction limit of 60m.
Hi sir, geologist here. 2:09 is definitely natural rock formation. Its called rock strata/layers. Its a sedimentary rock that formed layered horizontaly, then get flipped 90° by tectonic activity millions of years.
Thanks for the info. Appreciate it. I will amend it accordingly in the Description. Someone pointed out that it is igneous, i was a bit confused.

YOU CAN STILL GO THERE!? my father used to bring my brothers and i here all the time in my primary school days, we used to go during low tide and hiked abit or thread water along the coastline when its high tide from underwaterworld to get to the bunkers to fish, whenever my brothers and i were tired of fishing we would just explore the area. feelsgood to be able to see this place upclose again. great video man !
Thanks for watching🤝, happy to know an old timer here! Just curious, when you were there during primary school days, did you see the graffiti and handprints? I doubt it was really painted in 1974, judging by the quality of the paint, it doesn't look that old to me.
@@AlleyCat888 i think it was there can’t confirm, wasn’t really paying attention as kid. I can ask my dad about it and get back to you for the sake of curiosity yknw? last time I went there was circa 2006. But the bunkers did get a new paint job that I’m sure of haha.

Oh my. I always think of Sentosa with all the man-made beaches but this part of the island is so untouched. And it comes a touch of history. I wonder if this is part of Fort Siloso?
Thanks again for showing another lesser known part of Singapore :)
Yes, this is near to Fort Siloso WW2 museum. The watch towers are not opened to public though. I haven't explored all the caves yet, there are too many of them!
@Erina Nagasawa Yes, that makes sense. I have seen a UA-cam video where people managed to climb up from the hill to enter the towers, but i am afraid that's actually trespassing, haha.

Nice one alley cat. It may seem that there was once people supposedly staying in that particular cave perhaps ? I noticed what seemed like a top mount for a propeller? Maybe. Thanks for uploading !
Thanks for watching, and the kind comments🤝 i doubt that cave is suitable for staying, as there is a risk that the cave may be covered by water during high tide. Good observation there re top mount for propeller 👍 have a good day!

Thanks for watching 🤝 i started paddling last Aug as a new hobby learnt during Covid. Just thought that standup paddling is a very cool sport, and therefore happy to share it with viewers 😄
Nice work clearing the trash. Those bottles probably drifted in from the sea with the tides.
Thanks for watching🤝. Agreed, i think they were drifted there as well, as they went very deep inside. Have a good weekend, cheers! 😄
Woah!! You managed to get a haircut between two takes, impressive!! 😛
In all seriousness, this is awesome! And the big slabs of rocks are all-natural! Igneous rocks which formed at the bottom of a long-lost sea and that got crushed upwards at a weird angle when the mega continent of Pangea broke apart millions of years ago. (We got lots of those in Canada!)
Must have been a fun day out!
A mysterious uncle from the secret cave told me that i must appear neat and tidy for the commercials, he cut it for me, and immediately gave it back to me again after that scene. Haha!

Thanks for watching🤝, and happy that you enjoyed it😄. Yes, i'd think so too, the bottles are probably from else where and brought in by tides. As i learnt that empty bottles are commonly found in the most remote islands around the world too 😅

Those turrets (searchlight towers) cannot be explored, unless approved by Sentosa Development Corp ("SDC" ).

Yes, we can do this on our own (at our own risk), no clearance or prior approval from gov needed. Just don't enter the watch towers (formally, the "coastal artillery searchlights"), as it would be considered as trespassing if we enter it. You may visit the beach on foot during low tide.

Yes, you can. You may enter via Shangri-la pool side descending to the beach. Best to visit during low tide. Or enter from this location:
