Fantastic fast paced and open match. No calculations, no defensive bunkers on N. Ireland side. And then Pat Jennings, one of the worlds greatest GK's of all times, leader and great character on and off the pitch. Josimar's goal among WC's stunners
Tele Santana coached Brazil 1982 and make footbal an art jogo bonito but this team he coached in 1986 play more longpass and speed like European team. Still they both produce fantastic goals.
Brazil 86 was undefeated, concede only 1 goal was unlucky against France, 82 WC they made some defensive mistake against Italy. Even the 1990 WC team was good, undone by Maradona brillance
You can still have a great Brazilian team again, but it would require the seriousness of the CBF and your football administrators. First, make a rule that no Brazilian star (male or female) should move to Europe until they are 21. One big problem with Brazil today is that big European clubs snap up your brightest prospects in their teens, and before they've matured. When they get to Europe, the original Brazilian style of play is coached out of them. As a result, they struggle when they play for the Brazilian _Seleçao_ even though they do well for their European clubsides. When they face European opposition at the FIFA World Cup, they struggle because the UEFA teams seem to mock them as if to say, "What makes you think you'll beat us at our game?" Secondly, the CBF MUST ask corporate sponsors to help in pouring money into the Brazilian Serie A. Bring back the old Jogo Bonito. You can play Jogo Bonito and have a solid defense. This 1986 Brazilian team and the 1994 World Cup winning team prove it. But invest in your league so that whenever you name a World Cup squad, it would have a backbone of home-based players. Your 1970 World Cup squad was entirely home-based; the great 1982 team had only Falcao playing in Europe; and your 2002 World Cup winning team had 12 home-based players out of the 23-man squad. Nowadays, only 5 or 6 home-based players make the team, which isn't helping it. You can't play a European style against the European giants and expect to win. Finally, ensure that your football academies produce more than enough talent for one position. What made the great Brazilian teams of the past tick was that everyone in the attack was a potential goalscorer. If you kept one player quiet, another one stepped in, making the team look like a Lernean Hydra who grew 2 heads whenever 1 was cut off. Nowadays, it appears that the current Brazilian team struggles to play without Neymar. That should not be the case. I know that the European teams have more money and can lure players with it, but the CBF should be firm in telling young Brazilian prospects to develop first before thinking about money. Remember, they MUST never move to Europe until they are 21 years old. At that age, it would be very difficult for them to lose their Brazilian identity. Do all these I mentioned, and I assure you that Brazilian football will be back at the top where it rightly belongs. That's my suggestion.

I thought they done ok and gave a good account of themselves against an unbelievable Brazil team, Jennings was something else though and imagine if Northern Ireland could play like this today
Brazil 1982,1986,see zico, so crates, falco, junior, best in world cup.. Legend continue.

My word, Pat Jennings was immense! And he was 41 years-old here.🍀
how team like 82,86 Brazil couldn’t manage to win wc? 94,98,2002 team reached final won twice, but that 82,86 team is something else, extra ordinary...

El taconazo de Zico a Careca en el último gol es un lujo.
ZICO un genio del fútbol que llegó lesionado a México 1986.
Nunca mais teremos Selecao como esta infelismente so saudades
