FWIW, I was really impressed with overall team speed on defence. They seemed to get to the ball more efficiently & quickly....a change from the last few years. And the packages Coach Flores designed really made maximum use of the talent he has. If this defence can stay healthy, they will have a good year, which will take the pressure off of Sam Darnold.
IMHO, Aaron Jones was a real difference-maker today & my star of the game. Jones' ability to (a) move laterally to avoid penetrating linemen/poor blocking, then find a hole to run, (b) catch the ball & make good yards, and (c) use power when required resulted in the Vikes gaining yards when the O-line didn't make the blocks or when the Giants sniffed out the play & blew it up. Consequently, the Vikes didn't end up in a ton of 3rd-and-ling situations. That made Darnold's job much easier, prevented the Giant's D-line from physically wearing-down Bradbury, Ingram, et al., and also enabled KOC to use the entire playbook to keep the Giant's D off-balance. I also liked that Ty Chandler got the ball a lot, which gave the older Jones a good rest. The proof was in the pudding...unlike we have seen over the last few years, the Vikes didn't have many 3-and-outs in the game, thanks to a really effective run game!
To me, this was a must-win game to start the brutal stretch of games going into the BYE. So glad everyone stepped up on all side of the ball and balled out.
AVG was absolutely noticeable every play. Was always right there on every run, pressure, and shallow pass. Got off his blocks and tackled efficiently. Insane
I've seen CJ Ham run a lot of plays but I don't remember him fumbling very often. When I saw it I thought it was going to be a bad day. Well it was, for the Giants!!! LOL SKOL!!!
This is for all quarter backs not just the Vikings. A deflected throw, or hit while throwing, or bobble by the receiver should not count as an interception. There should be a separate category that doesn't affect the QBs interception rate. Just put it in the turnover category on the whole team.
First we blew out the crybaby eagles(yes I know it was the preseason) and now the giants wk1 to start it off. Better watch out Niners and cowgirls(even though we’re not playing the cowgirls, but still). SKOL
What. A. Win.
Vikes Back.
i like how jones picked his running lane...he knows where to go once he got the ball

Yeah they did look noticeably fast
I watched Sam’s highlights when I heard KOC picked him up and I just knew this guy was gonna be sum special. He played great!!
Nice win vikes. Keep er up
Ain't no one doing it better in locker room speeches! KOC!
Can't wait for week 17 when yall 1-16. I wonder what the blonde politician will say.
@@StillKeepOnLosing , it's gotta be exhausting and terrible to hate on people who don't know you exist
Good shit sam

I have the NYG Franchise as Vikings MVP this week.
@@blaowtousai LOL! :)
Flores was the defensive MVP
I hope the Darnold haters shut up now.
I'm 99% sure you said that about Kirk too
I wanna see chat history
It was against the giants we gotta relax he did good but he has the 49ers next week
It's 1 game and was by far the easiest opponent on the schedule.... only 21 on a bad giants team? Lmfao. 1-16 coming. Oh boy
Giants are trash. If he does it again next week against the 49ers, you can post this comment. 😅

You dont go third overall without checking all the boxes coming out of college, it comes down to the supporting class around you. 11 on 11
Diamond Dallas Turner. Diamond cutter for every sack!
Well the Minnesota Vikings are Back 1-0 NFC North Win it all for Khyree Jackson.
Gotta love the Sombrero Kid!
3:36 Thank you KAM
My predictions about Sam were so wrong! Skol 🎉
AVG was absolutely noticeable every play. Was always right there on every run, pressure, and shallow pass. Got off his blocks and tackled efficiently. Insane
I was impressed SKOL!
I think Sam might be our starter for the next 2 years with JJ starting in year 3
If he plays well this year he's going to be after a high $$ multi-year contract. We won't be able to match it.
He’s set up as a 1 year rental but it’ll be interesting to see if he continues this trend throughout the season
Let's see how good sam is with toe to toe games Eagles etc
Only way i see that happens is if Sam can get them to the NFC championship game
A plus effort by the team, i was very happy for Sam, enjoy the win, but a big test the next week, skol!
Hit Man.
Good start.

Aaron jones and van ginky were the best pickups this offseason

Ben Leber is our Bautista! I bet hed destroy Bautista though because Brock was huge but couldnt play ball.
Funny how on a lot of people said we were gonna lose this one
Strong defense and run game. Efficient QB play. You can win a lot of games that way.
How about Jalen "Speedy" Nailor with his first TD?
This Vikings offense looks like it could score far more than 21 points in a game.
Listen fam darnold been nice he just been a product of his environment jets and panthers both poverty he gonna blossom over here
First we blew out the crybaby eagles(yes I know it was the preseason) and now the giants wk1 to start it off. Better watch out Niners and cowgirls(even though we’re not playing the cowgirls, but still). SKOL
You like that
I hope this isn't a Josh Dobbs situation. One good game then Dobbs was never good for us after that.
Can you bring PA and Mike Wobschall back to between the lines please?! We need real talk and not football talk from Leber
Giants are trash. Let's see if darnold can do this against an elite defense like the 49ers.
First!
