old video but an important difference is that a bench capper will work on all bottles that had a crown cap on. An Emily will not work on a hobgoblin bottle or some belgian bottles because they have a different shoulder that the capper can't grip on. I use the bench capper for the standard capping and the Emily with a bigger bell for the champagne sized caps ( different bell of course).
Thanks for the feedback and info good detail
I also bought a Farari double handle capper, but found it a struggle to get the caps properly sealed on the bottle ? Gradually increased pressure on the caps, but after only TWO bottles , the handle mechanism broke !
I even found with the table top capper that there is a worrying concern that to enable a proper seal, you could be pushing the mechanism to breaking point !
Sad end of story, I have now shelved both units and returned to PET bottles.
Would appreciate if anyone has any tips on applying and sealing bottle caps without breaking the tools ?
Doc revelation capper is one of the best cappers. I bought one and wondered why I waited so long to get one
yeah absolutely great piece of kit
I bought the Farari hand capper but found it quite awkward to use. Wish I'd coughed up the extra and gone for the table-top one. Will be upgrading soon!
If you brew regularly i'd always say a tap top capper is a great investment, there is alot of movement in the ferrari capper , tip would be to keep thumbs across the handles to add stability
