Best review I’ve seen of Dreams Jade so far! We are going with my family in April. Hopefully it is warm! What were your thoughts on buying into the Preferred Club?
One thing not mentioned in the review is that with the Preferred Club is that you also get access to the ala carte breakfast, which is in Capers. We enjoyed that more than the buffet. We enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and they have a really extensive menu.
We were there just after a hurricane out at sea, so we had lots of seaweed. But they worked hard everyday to keep the beach clean. It’s was just rough water when we where there, the beach is flat and a little rocky in places. You can walk down the beach but it turns into public/ private beach and the marina is to the left of the resort.
I saw from some photos that there are pool cabanas & hammocks. Are those free for anyone to use? Or is that only at the Adult Pool within the Preferred Club? My boyfriend and I would definitely take advantage of those if they're included in the normal All-Inclusive package, but we weren't sure!!! :) We can't wait to go to Mexico!
They are included and are first come, first serve. Not all the cabanas are, the colored ones are for the penthouse they keep open just for them. Have a great time!
There was a kids club and they gave parents a pager, I did not go in there as it was very busy and I did not have any kids. The kids all looked very happy and busy. The Covid testing is free right now and is same day results. Just sign up when you arrive for your test. The antigen test is free, the PCR test is a fee (you only need an antigen to fly home) Have fun! And take your own pool floats.
You can walk down the beach but it is public and private beach down the way going to the right, going left is the Marina and the dolphinarium. You can snorkel but depends on the weather and the boats coming in/out.
my wife and i did snorkeling last time were there.... its through the resort and a boat picks you up.... then you go pick up other people are some other resorts down the coast line. its a fun boat ride and snorkeling. i highly recommend it
If you check Southwest Vacations, or thru a travel agent they can go thru Pleasant Vacations or one other. The deals vary and are not usually available during peak or high season. If you change your dates and look around and see what’s available. Good luck! Happy Travels!
We always tip, from grabbing a drink ($1 ) to the morning buffet ($3) the evening meal is usually how good the service is ($5-$10) In doing my research the people working the resorts make about $6 per day. So tipping for excellent service is always appreciated.

Thanks! If there are children, I would not do Preferred Club, if no kids I would do it. I enjoyed the adult pool and the lounge. Have fun!

Very true, we never went because we are very early risers and it didn’t open until 8 am

Just one Preferred pool and it’s adults only, have a great trip!

The pool that you’re drinking the mimosa in - is that the adults only pool?
Yes it is, we only did a walk thru of the other pool and our room was so much closer to the adult pool.

This resort has multiple buildings but is easily walkable (no shuttles)

We arrived July 6, and just relaxed the entire time

There were some shows and local entertainment and artist.
