The house-help palava was just a bad season. Happy it's over. My sister had a similar season on the back of Covid in 2022, with 3 kids under 12, and a demanding job. Thankfully, that is over too, and the domestic front has stabilised.

Just found your lovely channel. Your idea of bulk cooking is on point, similar to another good cook Kwankyewaa's Kitchen. I love your food processor; what is the model? Will definitely need to purchase some larger pots as well to bulk cook. What country are you from? We don't eat pork - the most filthy animal, after we went to the farm and watched what they actually ate. I love recipes from all over the world. Will continue watching and add you to my list.

I live alone, since my wife died. So, I do not need to cook a lot. But I recently figured out that I can cook three-gallon batches of food, and then put most of it in the freezer. So far, I have cooked a three-gallon batch of veggie stew, and a three-gallon batch of baked beans, and a three-gallon batch of cream of chicken soup. I use the same quart sized glass containers that I see in this video, but maybe a different brand. I also made a big batch of cookies, four dozen. I should not need to cook again until sometime in July!

I have 2 questions.
1. How do you warm the fully cooked meals if you don't have a microwave and still retain the taste
2. How do mitigate the risk of food poisoning considering the unreliability of kplc?
We warm the food on the stove. We sometimes add fresh dhania just before serving. The food is cooked in a hygienic environment and put in the freezer as soon as it cools down to avoid going bad. As long as it's in the deep freezer and frozen solid, in can last up to 72 hours without power. And in the fridge freezer, it lasts a whole 24 hours without power. Thankfully we've never gone that long without power under a normal black-out. 😊
Then u can as well be blending tomatoes, that is called conqansee....pls take tomatoes,add like two large onions or leeks ,add tomato paste ,let it boil, then blend let it cool and pack kama kawa......

Yes, having reliable power source is good. When the food is in the deep freezer it can last up to 72hours without power.

We store in containers in the freezer. We reheat on the stove.
Do u decide what u Taking out for supper or do ask individual what they want to eat
We follow a family meal plan, and everyone eats the same thing. I pack the meals in family-sized portions.
How many freezers do you have/use ?
I have one deep freezer and one fridge freezer.

Do you have a generator? KPLC can mess you big time
We don't have a generator imagine. We've not gone more than 24hours without power under a normal black-out. Usually they don't last that long, and the food can stay frozen much longer than that. 👍🏿👍🏿
What kind of knife do u use to cut up the pork into small pieces?
I use a regular knife, which we have to sharpen every so often. 🤦🏿♀️ When I can, I ask the butcher to chop for me.

Even though I enjoy making work easier in the kitchen, KPLC doesn't allow me to freeze my food. 😢
Sorry to hear that. If you have a deep freezer, food that is completely frozen can last up to 72hours in there without power, so long as you avoid opening it unnecessarily.
