Montgomery Freight Elevator - Ontario Science Centre, North York ON

This Freight elevator is only used on busy days especially weekends. It was used to be an Montgomery but have since been modded it. Capacity for this freight elevator is 10000 LBS and it traction.

I’ve been on this thing before! It was when one of the passenger elevators was broken and a security guard opened it up and he took a bunch of people with him! That’s when I decided to go on as well! (of course my dad went with me because I couldn't go by myself) Now that was something to cross off my bucket list!

Indeed... Nobody has been able to film this before.
The lighting in this thing is definitely different than it was when I saw it open back in the '90s. It was quite dim back then - a few incandescent bulbs and that's it. They've clearly spruiced it up to a degree. If I remember correctly, back in the day it had Montgomery square G&P buttons.
Also, there's another freight somewhere in the mix on level 5. It has a sliding manual door, looks fairly small, is probably hydraulic and gated, and I doubt it gets used often. It requires a key to operate. I'm willing to bet it's the best elevator in the facility, but of course they save that for the staff.
