An 808 sample pack with distortion and EQ, same way daft punk did it but they used a real TR-808 lol
On the TR-8 you can add the same effect on the toms with a type of delay

Nah. A while back there was a track made by RETRO/GRADE which covered Daft Punk, and named it Pulsar. People just stuck with that name since
