I'll let you know. I've been trying to get my lights working for several hours to no avail. Something is very wrong. They went out during a storm two years ago and I haven't been about to set them up since.

Great video, I cannot get Alexa to accept any commands, it says Unresponsive check your network connections, I see the devices in Alexa, any ideas?
Let me just say this first I love watching your channel I'm looking forward to getting a new drone I got a old syma drone no altitude hold no GPS no return to home none of the things the newer drones do I am looking into buying the dji mini mavic or maybe a drone that has at least forward facing obstacle avoidance I haven't taken flight in quite a while
Your support is greatly appreciated. I'm a big fan of the Mavic Mini. Sensors are nice, but as long as you make sure you're in a wide open space you should be fine.

Hi Mr. Gadget. Quick question on a video you did some time back on the
Tello Drone. I am looking to Purchase one with the GameSir T1d Controller
it is sold with the Drone. According to your video the Tello should stay away from
Blue tooth signals. Doesn't this controller work by Bluetooth?
I have found that bluetooth causes the video to skip/drop frames. Not sure if that's just with certain devices, but generally, when I turn it off my video turns out waaayyy smoother.

This is confusing because if they are Alexa enabled, why can’t they be set up in the Alexa app?
I’m trying to wrap my head around setting up a few smart lights around my house.
Have just subscribed and very impressed. Thanks for sharing. My wife, who is very ill, has just received an Alexa Echo dot for Christmas. Ability to turn on a few lights using Alexa would be a Godsend. I eagerly await an order for some Smart bulbs for our bedroom Fanlight. I’ve been scouring UA-cam for tutorials on installation of Smart bulbs. My main question is do I have to download a native app or can I just plug them in and set up using Alexa App? I think you have answered my question. Err ….like your ‘Night Time’ like voice. Many thanks.
Well hello there John, glad you found the video and it was of some usefulness. Yep, you will need to download the native app because you'll need to link that account/skill to the Amazon Alexa app. Once you've done that though, you won't even need to open the Smart Life app again, you can just control it with your voice or from the Alexa app. Hope this makes things easier on the Misses.

Really pushing my luck here in asking for your response to another issue. I have now set up( all thanks to you) 3 smart lamps and a smart plug that drives a table lamp. Also 2 groups for said lamps. It works perfectly if I ask Alexa to turn them on/off, however if my wife asks Alexa, it doesn't work! Any other commands that she gives to Alexa, do work. We are both using our own Amazon accounts. I set up the lamps on just my Alexa App. Should I set them up on her Alexa App too? Any ideas GI or, indeed, anybody else? Sorry to be a pain....
@@montymagic5886 Try having her add a voice profile in her app (I’m assuming she has the app on her phone and you on yours) (if not, log out on your phone and sign back in. That will allow you to add her as a user). Next, go to settings, account settings, recognized voices, and create a voice profile. Hope that does it.
I use Cync cyn ge lights and no matter what I’m doing they will not fully sync to Alexa they are connected but something isn’t right

Can you setup music of all the bulbs altogether with alexa? like a disco light for all bulbs at the same time?
I haven’t tried that, not sure. I may have to try it.
@@GadgetInspector Please, if it works, I will buy a smart speaker / alexa. Coz currently, I don’t find much use for it so I just use the smart life app and Siri for controls instead. But if alexa will sync all bulbs into music mode and works together, I will buy one ☺️

Turn your light on and off 3 times.
We turned ours on and off 4 times and it worked. He shows in and says in this video 3 times. 🤔✌️🙂

Most smart lightbulbs only work on 2.4. IPad to purchase a Dual band router in order to run all my devices that have 2.4. Eve

Plugs can only turn on/off. They are fine if that's all you want to do.
But if you want colors, dimming, and other features go with bulbs.

On full ……….? Full moon, full room, what are you saying? What is the name of the 6 pack, can’t find online. Your example is using the unknown 6 pack but your link is for different Amazon 2 pack by a different name. Very frustrating.
Yea they often rebrand these bulbs and change the links. Frustrates me as well.

I gasped when you touched the bottom part of the light bulb. You're not supposed to touch the silver part you screw into the lamp😤
