it’s crazy how many people got into longboarding just because of this one video, myself included. the vibes in this video are just immaculate, it captures the essence of summer SO well. its been 9 years since I first saw this video. I watched it over and over and over again and it inspired me to buy my first longboard. I still come back to watch it every once in a while. I don’t ride as much anymore but I still have a longboard, and I try to ride at least a couple times every year 💛

Four years ago when I was 13, I saw this video and the very same day, I bought a pintail 40. This pintail made me get a C in chemistry, get road rash everywhere on my body, and purchase 2 more boards. This past summer I went out to western New Jersey to have some fun on the great country roads. I passed through a small town that seemed really familiar but I just couldn't remember where it was from. I just remembered that the town I passed through this summer was the same town at 00:25. I rode through the same town, on my pintail...crazy! Keep making dope videos and shred on!

+YUKU I think my Slipstream ABEC 7 are really good, had them since summer (not riding in rain) and they spin for about 2:30 - 3:20 minutes without lube. Just tested them. i have never cleaned them! And i ride ALOT. :D //Max

I live in an area with shitty hills, but some smooth roads and pavements. my town is full of stereotypical skateboarders and no other longboarders n they all have a hatred of me cos I longboard and I'm just like lmao I don't care
Way back in the day me and my buddy Johnny would watch these videos and then go out and skate all day. We loved all of them but this one in particular really spoke to us because they just looked like they were having so much fun and they weren't even doing any super difficult tricks, it was all just stuff that we could see ourselves doing. Thanks for all the fun memories!

Few songs make feel as much nostalgia as this one. I don't ride longboards anymore, but I vividly remember being 15ish years old and watching this video, and subsequently riding my longboard to school and back home. Probably spent about 45 minutes each way, and loved every minute of it. Listened to this song pretty much every day. It's such a good jam. Reminds me of all the best parts of summer.
I bought a pintail 40 like 9 years ago after finding this video and it made some of the best summers of my life. All my friends were doing these crazy slides but I was happy just to cruise around with them. Just recently got a banjo and this was the first song I learned... still have my pintail.
I can’t believe how long ago I watched this. Being so young and wanting to be a long boarder. I am now older and although I still love riding my board arround, I have turned to biking however this video still gives me tingles

I came back to this video after watching it years ago. I'm not a longboarder but I think about this video sometimes. The stunning camera angles, the effortless motion of the longboarders, those wonderful shots of rural America (I live in rural Ireland) and that wonderful Vetiver song. It's so chilled and always puts me in a really chilled place.
8 yrs later. And I'm still skating. Thank you to the team of Skate Original. You were a huge part of childhood growing up. With The Hawaii and Puerto Rican sessions. Those were great times. Then I think I remember seeing a proposal too. So all in all Skate Original is where I started and I enjoyed every second of it.

I fell in love with long boarding my sophomore year in high school. I’m in the army and feel so stressed all the time but I stumbled across this video and I’m going to buy an original longboard and start skating again to relieve some of this stress thanks you so much original skateboards!

Small victories! I've been describing UA-cam as a phone company that disconnects the number did your old friends. We have no way to get to you, new videos won't trigger a notification and there is no way to send you a message or even an ad, so the only way you can easily get to us is to literally remember the name of the video (or our company) and go find it.

I'm working on some upgrades that should dramatically improve the stuff we were working on in this video and I can't wait to get it out there, ride it, and shoot some new videos on this stuff. I've kept coming back to this video from time to time for the last 8 years, and I haven't even set foot on a longboard once. Love it!
Now that is crazy. I never thought about it from an external perspective (what it might be like having never ridden) but I guess fun with friends carries over no matter who you are / what you do.
Now the question is - what do we need to do to get some wheels under your feet? If you need a little help I know a few people who might be up to help out with some lessons...

This song single-handedly inspired me to longboard when it came out, and I still do ~12 years later. It led me to traveling the country, and the world to find the best skate spots, and chase the feeling this song gave me. It really did help form me as a skater, and a person, as I truly believe I wouldn't have the world view I have, and I wouldn't be the person I am without having traveled as much -- all inspired by this video.

I was 13 when i found this video, i was already craving a longboard but this video particularly got me into buying my first board. Now i've own more than 5 (2 of them broke in the middle of a ride). Since the end of 2019 and the whole 2020 i wasn't able to ride, and thanks to corona i won't probably ride on 2021 and looking through this video brought back so many memories, many falls, many scars and many histories that i don't want to lose again.

Pretty good any time you can spend a day out riding with your friends and come away with something we watch 10 years later. If only it was ALWAYS that easy to create stuff that makes all of us want to get out on the hill. Hoping to make some new magic this year but thus far all that has amounted to is Vlogs (ua-cam.com/video/8s-M0Wz5MzE/v-deo.html).
There ARE however some sweet sweet new Pintails on the way so I suspect we may see some more like this by this time next year.

Long boards cool me down and make me calm that's why I love riding them! There so fun to ride to! I highly recommend long boards if your beginner on skateboarding or long boarding they are easier to ride since they are big enough for your feet to rest! Unlike a penny board they are too small for my comfert! But yeah !

i dont know if that question was ment for me or not, but it really depends on the style of riding you plan to do. there are so many options. personally i like drop-through decks but i've been riding skateboards for a long time so i wanted something different.
