Townshend, in fact, was the initiating force behind the album. After having heard some of Jagger’s demos, he told him that they didn’t sound like Rolling Stones songs and that Jagger should record them on his own.
Pete Townshend is one of the best guitarist ever. I love hearing him he’s so great.
I love how Jerry Hall just casually asked for a lift home at the end. Nice reminder that our "rock gods" are just people when they're not on stage, dealing with a lot of the same ordinary everyday shit as the rest of us.

Pete did not reveal then that his Stratocasters have a Fishman pickup built in to the bridge area... that is what the volume control is for behind the bridge... gives a good acoustic sound he can mix in with the regular pickups...
+flagemdown66 cool. Didn't know that. You can hear on lots of records by different folks mix in acoustic guitar tracks behind the electrics to get some of that percussive sound. Sounds like that Fishman pickup takes care of that. Gotta love a red Strat ala Cliff Richards/ Shadows.

According to Wikipedia, they stayed together until 1999. Guess she didn't mind Jagger having other girlfriends. As everyone says, they seem to get along wonderfully. Who'dda thunk Mick would go for a girl with a deep Texas accent. But I LIKE her. Seems like a down to earth good ol' girl. At least as much as one can expect for a 6 feet tall $1,000 per day model. ;)

Unfortunately, the album's release coincided with the 9/11 terror attack. The album got next to no media coverage.
