Glittering Girl (Version 3) ©1967 She wasn't a fool That glittering girl She followed the rules That shimmering pearl Said the rules mama preaches Go down when they break The things mama teaches You just gotta shake But she wasn't a fool That slender love figure She followed her rules And made money bigger She wasn't a fool That shining young woman She followed her rules She's crying for no man...

I played this concert! I'm a violinist and was in the Juilliard Orchestra. Sound is good and video not bad off old chrome.
When I am in my 70s, I wanna be like mr. Daltrey
Holy Christ ! Only 7 comments ? They make copper drums in my home town but not music like this ; Rest In Eternal Piece Mr. MOON !
The world knows two extinction level events: a meteor wiped out the Dinosaurs 65 millions years ago, and since '65, Pete wipes out guitars.
Crap album, bored, burned out and Roger was right about Jones being a bad fit. Even the windmills are half-hearted. Time for a break.
This is the most interesting Townsend interview ever.
Moon’s not bad. He’s already looking a little rough for 25 years old.
Thank You! I was in the front row in front of Ox. The guy next to me hands me the biggest field glasses I've ever seen. Huge smiles from the stage!
I was there also! It rained big time & delayed the concert for hours. But it was worth the wait!
Punk way before it’s time What a band
Simon is a great drummer but unfortunately he didn't fit in with The Who. It was thanks to Zach that they were able to bring back the sound of The Who.
The orchestra is jazzing it up. You study, practice, learn to be orchestra worthy, then you get to let your hair down, because you are basically you are a bad ass classicly trained musician. What a hoot.
could you post this entire show
could you post a complete show from 1989
Let's hear it for the lighting guys!
But why was Pete’s dad in shadow during their jam session? That puzzles me.
@renodavid that was my point!
@@TonysMusic1974 Lol, you were much too clever for me! 🤪
Pete on the Tony Award at 79 playing guitar 🎸 for Pin Ball Wizard 43yrs later ❤❤
What I did on my summer vacation 😂
Funny line from Shelly Winters. She was always good for a little zaniness
Very cool!
That interviewer at the beginning needed to back off. Roger said multiple times he wasn't going to comment on politics and she just kept pushing.
"The Punk Meets The Jazzmaster"
34 years later Simon Phillips who was The Who's drummer in that tour, explained very compassionately what happened to Pete's hand: ua-cam.com/video/s4tNVBXroWs/v-deo.html
One more: Don't be the red jersey crew member on "Star Trek". Don't be the red electric guitar Pete Townsend plays--for roughly the same reason.
Pete Townsend's guitar tech after giving him his guitar backstage for a performance:"Dead guitar walking!"
Keith Moon could act… I suspect it’s all he ever did! A natural entertainer!
Long live rock...
And I moved Simon Philips that drum groove pattern and sound of that snare amazing master drummer
Pete Townsend probably went through numerous guitar techs as groups went through numerous drummers--albeit for an obviously different reason.
I've never seen the Who at their peak! Million tank youse
Where has this been hiding. Great stuff. Thanks for the post
Crowd of ca 200
could you add video of complete shows from 1989 ?
there are a lot already
@@TheWhoVault could you add video of all pro filmed who concerts in one video from 1989 ?
@@brithaddenhadden8383 thats about 40 hours
@@TheWhoVault a three hour compilation would be appreciated !

I’d be interested to hear more about how Eric Burdon hasn’t recovered from the pressure on the Animals in the 60’s, as Pete says

Anyone know the name of the American band Pete referenced at the very beginning?
An epic performance by Pete and one of our favorites. He promised to comeback to the Fillmore but never did.
Wow. Great share. I REALLY enjoyed it. Long live rock!
Do you think there will ever be a release of LIVE IN TORONTO 1982 or any more professional filmed concerts of that era ? They were epic performances & even though some diss Kenny Jones the addition of Him & a keyboard player gives a better 'musical' experience overall. Moon's drumming is so patchy here it kinda ruins the experience musically (IMO). It's sad. Love Him but love the LIVE concert experience of the WHO also & the live footage from 1979 to 1982 is all really really good ,from what I've bought & other's I've watched on youtube so far.
Bo Diddley Rules ok
Holy shit.
I was there, in the front. This was an EPIC version of EF!
Wow, never seen this footage before. Thanks for the share. Must have been mindblowing for the audience. The Ox only gets a few seconds on film, a pity. Otherwise kudos to the lads - forever the best and most original pop-rock group of all time. Time to release one last single to remind the world, Pete and Roger?
Roger forgot the lyrics in take 1. Called it "a senior moment." I am really surprised to find someone filmed this. Robert Plant was the opener.
Uma revolução musical,a qual inspirou muitas bandas, início do heavy metal
Even as long-term Who fan, I've never seen anything quite like this, in terms of what happens at the end. Strangely, Roger keeps singing throughout the destruction, and Pete seems to put some thought into it, rather than just smashing the guitar. His tuning adjustments at this point are also unusual - any theories regarding why he's doing this?
I was there - when they played PINBALL wizzard the roadies released some HUGE silver beach balls that looked like giant pinballs - about 10 feet wide. The crowd bopped the balls all over like a giant pinball game -anyone remember that -? No footage. And I wasn't THAT STONED
Keiths birthday!!!!
Pop group? The Who are pure rock.
